They DO still make it. There's a store called Cost Plus World Market, and you can often times find it there (in original and sugar free... which was more colorful).

It is a reference to the vorpal bunny in Monty Python's the Holy Grail. It is very funny because of it's absurdity (and the reference to an equally absurd bit in the movie).
