This is fabulous! My daughter is a HUGE Miyazaki fan and went crazy when she saw this. You got my (our!) vote!

To be honest, I knew there would be a million submissions with the whole 'missing ear' thing and I just didn't want to be another one. I thought it worked pretty well on its own merit. Maybe I was mistaken. It's been known to happen. ;)

Same here, great concept, but not fan a of the boxed design.

I think it's because a lot of us cannot see the thumbnail or shirt comp. Not sure why. Can't vote for what can't be seen. Too bad for the artist.

thumperchick wrote:I love the design, the detail, you did very well.

Since you asked, I do have a suggestion - you could have avoided the "square" area of the shirt. The best designs usually naturally progress out into the shirt blank - don't force it.

Thanks for the feed back. I actually had toyed with the idea of doing a redesign that wasn't as boxy... Unfortunately I think it would be too late now but good to know for next time.

I don't really care what color it is. I want this shirt. It's very well done.

ste7enl wrote:I appreciate the input. I felt the image needing something darker, and heavier near the top to draw the eye up, or else the whole thing would be too weighted at the bottom. Whether or not I was successful, only time will tell.

It reminds me of when Bob Ross would peel away the tape he had put on the canvas, leaving an oval, and then put a happy little tree poking out of it.

Probably a little late in the game, did a resub to include the feedback and fix the boxiness of the design.

Nice...but the thumbnail shows a white background. That's ground for rejection.

New edit of my original design. FYI the picture on the shirt squished a little when I uploaded. The thumbnail is a more accurate depiction.

chrome says the original shirt image is 604 w x 643 h, which woot squished into its standard 602x602 square.

Except limericks go AABBA,
meaning the second line should rhyme with the first, and "talk" really doesn't rhyme with "Gough".

There once was a guy names Van Gough,
Who had a terrible cough,
As imbalanced he was,
With the booze and the drugs,
His answer was to cut the ear off!
