Trees are weird here, they don't lose their leaves until early spring.

My lilac bushes have leaf buds.
My daffodils have buds (well, some of them do).
it has been so wet here it is impossible to work outside.
I have treated the pond once, have a lot more to do to get rid of all of the algae.

I am thinking of digging up my old herb bed and planting something like zinnias.

Zinnias are multi colored, easy to grow, and you can cut them.
I bet KT would LOOOOOVE them.

Continuing to do a Rugby......KT says she has moonflowers. I think I would like those, they look pretty, and they say they smell good.
Perhaps I should try to plant some outside my bedroom window?

hey!

we grew them for a science project. very ribs! and some of them got big. and there are some planted in our front yard now. they were quite big in the "controlled environment"

MY grandfather loves zinnias, he gets the seeds and replants them. Seems like to much work to me.

I think I have some pictures of them somewhere, should I dig them up?

So outside of it smelling good, what else do you do with mint? And does it smell good just sitting in a pot, or do you have to powder it?

well, mostly for the smell, heh.
But you can put it in tea or in some desserts.

well kind of. but to get the best smell you have to pick off a leaf and rub it in your fingers.
Don't ever plant it in the ground though....it sends out runners and you will never get rid of it!
