Up until a few minutes ago when I read your post, I had never seen anything by Edward Gorey. I mean, unless I saw them in passing and don't remember, which is fairly likely and makes me a terrible liar who is not be trusted at any rate.
I do, however, as of christmas enjoy the benefits of drawing with a drawing tablet, thanks to the lavish generosity of my mom and dad. Not sure what this has to do with your question. I think I am just wildly excited and can't stop typing for the life of me. Give me an inch, my friend.
I do enjoy Edward Gorey's illustrations now that I am acquainted with them. He is certainly very Edward Gorey, I can say that much for certain. I am not much of an art critic, however, so I can't make any definitive statements on the matter other than, yes, indeed, I do enjoy what I was looking at. But, as I've said, I can't justify my enjoyment with any sort of talk that makes me sound like anything other than a terrible slob. Perhaps it’s merely his name; I have a particular fondness for Edwards and Eddies and Eds of all varieties.
I don't think there is much more to be said on the subject other than thank you for introducing me to this man's work. As far as rocking your world goes, I am terrified by this image. I suggest finding a stable object and securing yourself to it immediately. Stay put until the rocking stops. And then maybe calling the police. I can't help much in this matter, however. I don't have a working telephone in my room; I was trying to turn it into a nice looking phone and accidentally melted whatever it is inside it that makes it work.
Goodluck!
