godierst wrote:I actually really like the white on this one. It helps the various ink-blotches and whatnot really stand out. I just can't imagine this looking good on any other color. The color would detract from the art, methinks.

Thanks! Yeah actually, I tried it on every different color with different color variations for the strokes and it just didn't look as striking. Thanks for the comment.

Well, phooey, have to watch it again real soon, as I was thinking that Flock of Seagulls was the one kept saying "What?"

Re: The Inspiration

Personally, I think this shirt would be better suited to the current era if a 'DEAD END' sign was graffitied. But good stuff nonetheless, nice job.

Re: Caught in the act!

Ah! This is really cool! Given the option, I'd buy this in a second. I think the white actually makes this look all the more striking. I doubt it would look as good in any other color.

Re: The Gaseous Gray

I have to say alvin, that this style you are using every week lately is getting old. you need to get away from the abstract blotchy stuff - your other designs were much better. It's gotten to the point where i see the thumbnail and I immediately know it's yours....and not in a good way.

Just a thought

I've seen photos of defaced stop signs like this... but as a Journey fan since Steve Perry looked like Cher with sideburns, I would love to have it on a shirt.

HA! That's funny on so many levels. Thanks!

While certainly old enough to have, I've never seen this joyous slogan adorn an actual sign (and I don't know if your said sign was defaced or improved). I expected to see a good deal of signs so I really tossed any idea that I though could have actually existed in reality. I guess once again, I haven't given Journey fans enough credit.

Fabulous idea!! The only thing is I am assuming that is a can of spray paint he is holding? If I didn't know ahead of time, I'm not sure I would figure it out. But, very clever.

Yeah, I was having some technical difficulties due to the heather grey texture I think. After an hour of waiting for it to print out a .pdf I just said, hell with it and made my comps.

NOTE TO EVERYONE: The box around the artwork will not appear on the shirt
