Re: Better than a 2 week notice

I love the flow and motion of the guy so it got my vote there.

A couple of things I'd like to have seen different: His placement on the shirt. I like how you want him to stand out by putting him front and center, but I don't think it really works for him. Maybe a little smaller and off to the side would have been great. I think in the main forum, I had also suggested down in the right hand corner. Other than that, experiment with other colors. I wonder if orange could have worked well with this scheme or even brown. Orange isn't very popular in the color selection, but with such a strong design, I think it may have worked quite well.

Typical office existence- the more work you can do, the more they give you. Live to your own internal mediocrity, and let someone else do all the hard work at your job!

BTW I almost didn't vote on it, because your thumbnail size really doesn't do justice to the full image, but I eventually looked.

Thanks Guys! Originally it was rose, sage and cream and looked a little too festive. It still probably has a bit of a romantic, feminine flair to it. But, that would make it perfect for the women to buy.....or for the men to buy for their Valentine. So, that can make everybody happy.

Thanks for the votes on the cat one too! That one has more than the snails and I thought the snail one would have been the vote-getter. I just never know.

You know what else the rest of the world has heard of? The term "plan B" outside of the context of birth control. Seriously, no one is going to think birth control first, Size Comparison Diagram wasn't covered in penises, no one saw a swastika on Feed the Whale, and Cat Carrier isn't WWII Era Japanese Propaganda. If you're old enough to have a credit card and buy shirts, think about being old enough to mature past grade school logic.

CENTURION:
What's this, then? 'Romanes Eunt Domus'? 'People called Romanes they go the house'?
BRIAN:
It-- it says, 'Romans, go home'.
CENTURION:
No, it doesn't. What's Latin for 'Roman'? Come on!
BRIAN:
Aah!
CENTURION:
Come on!
BRIAN:
'R-- Romanus'?
CENTURION:
Goes like...?
BRIAN:
'Annus'?
CENTURION:
Vocative plural of 'annus' is...?
BRIAN:
Eh. 'Anni'?
CENTURION:
'Romani'. 'Eunt'? What is 'eunt'?
BRIAN:
'Go'. Let--
CENTURION:
Conjugate the verb 'to go'.
BRIAN:
Uh. 'Ire'. Uh, 'eo'. 'Is'. 'It'. 'Imus'. 'Itis'. 'Eunt'.
CENTURION:
So 'eunt' is...?
BRIAN:
Ah, huh, third person plural, uh, present indicative. Uh, 'they go'.
CENTURION:
But 'Romans, go home' is an order, so you must use the...?
BRIAN:
The... imperative!
CENTURION:
Which is...?
BRIAN:
Umm! Oh. Oh. Um, 'i'. 'I'!
CENTURION:
How many Romans?
BRIAN:
Ah! 'I'-- Plural. Plural. 'Ite'. 'Ite'.
CENTURION:
'Ite'.
BRIAN:
Ah. Eh.
CENTURION:
'Domus'?
BRIAN:
Eh.
CENTURION:
Nominative?
BRIAN:
Oh.
CENTURION:
'Go home'? This is motion towards. Isn't it, boy?
BRIAN:
Ah. Ah, dative, sir! Ahh! No, not dative! Not the dative, sir! No! Ah! Oh, the... accusative! Accusative! Ah! 'Domum', sir! 'Ad domum'! Ah! Oooh! Ah!
CENTURION:
Except that 'domus' takes the...?
BRIAN:
The locative, sir!
CENTURION:
Which is...?!
BRIAN:
'Domum'.
CENTURION:
'Domum'.
BRIAN:
Aaah! Ah.
CENTURION:
'Um'. Understand?
BRIAN:
Yes, sir.
CENTURION:
Now, write it out a hundred times.
BRIAN:
Yes, sir. Thank you, sir. Hail Caesar, sir.
CENTURION:
Hail Caesar. If it's not done by sunrise, I'll cut your balls off.
BRIAN:
Oh, thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. Hail Caesar and everything, sir! Oh. Mmm!

I don't see any rejected entries for being the opposite of quitting. I see ones that are off-theme and don't have any relation to quitting. Or where the quitting reference isn't clearly visible on the shirt.

I recall during the consumerism derby nearly all the entries were anti-consumerism. In the dreams derby, many people submitted shirts related to nightmares. They were just as valid and were on topic. We can't all be pessimists. Someone's gotta show a little love.

Well, I thought it was the filter for "Cupid's arrow has struck!," but now this reads much differently! (Click reply and you'll see. ) Looks like a massive overhaul of the filters took place recently. Which makes sense, I guess, since they were fried the other day. The poor filters will probably be in therapy for years! ;)

It still amazes me that I'm liking the olive shirt. Not usually my color of choice, but this design complements it very well.
