Oh my. What a lovely shirt. I may have to get it...although I'm contemplating whether I can actually wear this in Japan.

Very cute ^.^

Unlike the last Japanese shirt, it really does say "love" and "thank you very much."

Way too girly for me.

Obvious question being, what does the text say in English?

Too cute for me. :P

Also, for those of you who haven't checked main Woot -- It's a woot off.

P.S "kawaii" meaning cute in Japanese has two "i"s at the end ^_~

Does woot really need two irrationally Japanese oranges?

I guess that's the same question as "does woot really need 18 poorly traced trees?" And the answer will always be yes.

Shouldn't the title read, "nothing rhymes with オレンジ"?

WARNING WHITE PEOPLE: You'll look like a Druish princess bag to any Asian who sees you wear this.

FACT: You'll only impress nerds who are japanophiles

iono what the top says
but the bottom 'ありがとうございます' means 'thank you very much'
iono if i should get it or not...
kinda girly...
but it would be cool to the people in my japanese class...decisions...decisions

beblount

quality posts: 0 Private Messages beblount

The text at the bottom is 'Thank you very much', and the Kanji in the speech bubble is 'Love'.

NB: I've only taken two years of japanese so I'm not 100% positive about that Kanji.

Yitzy

quality posts: 1 Private Messages Yitzy

Once again:

The orange is saying "love." (or more accurately "Love Love" Koi Ai)

The red balloon says Arigatou Gozaimasu, which if you listened to Styx, you'd know that means "Thank You Very Much."

tis very cute, the yellow shirts seem thinner to me though, I can see through mine

Don't be sexist. Broads hate that.

For those who are too lazy to read the description, the second kanji says "ai" or "love". The bottom portion is in hiragana and says "arigatougozaimasu" which is a formal way of saying "thank you". I'm not sure what the first kanji means. : ) I never said I knew all that many kanji. There are over 2,400 that Japanese highschool students need to learn.. still working on it.

According to babel fish online translator, 恋愛, means romantic love. Is that right?

KamiKnucks

quality posts: 0 Private Messages KamiKnucks

text in bubble can be read as "renai", which is "love", but more like "passion", or "romance", which makes the shirt that much stranger to me. it's like the shirts the japanese have with random english crap written on it. miss me with this one.

The kanji (Chinese characters) in the speech bubble reads "ren ai", which is a way of saying "love".

I agree, I have the Choctopus shirt and I think it's rather thin for the AA shirts.

I feel like this has some copyright issues. It looks exactly like mikan-juice characters I saw studying abroad in japan:

I knew I could come in here and find out if it really said what Woot claimed it said. Wooters are so smart! Thanks to those of you who confirmed it. This design is really cute...when am I going to find time to wear all these shirts this summer?!

This is truly a cute shirt, but I look terrible in yellow. Like a dead plant. My husband would not want it, but would wear it if it showed up, I think. I think I'm going to pass and wait to see if it shows up in a Random Shirt envelope.

OR if I don't buy anything in the next 23.57 hours in the wootoff, I might get it just because.

I took a Japanese class the last two quarters at school. I can't read the Kanji on the top, but the bottom says A Ri Ga To U Go Za i Ma Su which means thank you very much. Arigato means thanks you and so does gozaimusu. Putting both together makes it very formal. Since they were right on the translation for the bottom, then they are probably telling the truth about the top and it says love. I think I can pull off wearing this girly shirt... I'm gonna get it.

Oh, and Kawaii means cute I think

well contrary to what many people have said, I absolutely love this shirt. I'm in for one. I love shirts in foreign languages, but that's just my own personal taste. ;-)
