I can only hope that I can come up with something even close to this level of work, when I eventually design my first.

Thank you so much! If I can do this, you definitely can. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Re: This Little Light

I love it and the blue is great too.

My only criticism is maybe it should say LET IT SHINE LET IT SHINE LET IT SHINE
just like the song. I never heard it or sang it with SHINE ON at the end.

Maybe there are different versions. Regardless, I would buy it and wear it as is.

I second that. This is the best design thus so far. C'mon guys, move the shirt up. Vote for this one. I really want one.

I think an entire page devoted to slandering individuals (it didn't talk about woot really at all) goes beyond free speech. If you'd like to discuss this in PM further please feel free to send me a message. ^_^

stargrey wrote:I agree. I'm so sick of seeing derby after derby filled with copycat items. And while the artist claims that this took a lot of thought, how telling is it that it was entered after the other was already racking up the votes?!

Look at the times these were entered; this was 5 minutes after the other one, and you'll notice that I entered another design between the two. I can assure you this took more than 5 minutes. We had the same idea and both entered them when the derby opened, it's as simple as that.

As for selecting verses, have you ever been to an art gallery or heard a tribute to a composer? The gallery/orchestra selects certain pieces from a corpus, conforms them to the space/time restraints, and charges the public admission. Even the best singers in America perform only the first verse of our national anthem.

To clarify, it is the classic Black&Tan drink there, Stout on top and Ale on bottom. Usually made with Guinness and Bass Ale (I prefer mine with Smithwicks).

Cool design though. Maybe if I was more of a literature nerd I'd be a bigger fan, but there are only so many classes you can take when you're in the college of engineering.

College of engineering? Eh? Do you mean the faculty of engineering at some school? I'm an engineering student at the University of Alberta.

I love this entry. Big fan of snakes...I'd get one except I have two chinchillas and the last thing I need to happen is for them to meet or the snake to bite me because it smells/tastes them. It's also hard to take them with me to Japan. Anyway, that's not the point! GMV. ^_^

Guinness is brilliant...it floats on anything. It's amazing. Now, I couldn't justify mixing it with anything but the other members of the trinity (Bailey's & Jameson), but to each her own. ^_^

Also, in defense of both of these entries, I saw them both entered early; it is impossible that they were copied, for anyone who has any doubts. You could say that the fact that they both came up with a similar idea speaks about originality but that's not the argument here. These were not copied from each other. It's an unfortunate coincidence and now they are both likely to be printed. Don't be upset with the designers of these shirts. Be upset with the voters if you must be upset with someone. Otherwise be happy that you're saving your $10. And if you like them be happy you can have two ravens.

And now everyone should hug or something. ^_~
