I think the better question would be "if cho does a penguin, how little respectability do the other penguin-drawers have?" This is easily the apex of a tired thematic element... like Jimiyo's pirate, of which woot said "Jimiyo, who is an artist talented enough to make us like pirates again. Keep in mind that you probably are not. We’re sorry, we love you, but that’s just a fact. A fact as cruel and cold as the sea itself."

Similarly, the quality of this one penguin design doesn't make penguins good. It simply makes it all the more stark how horrible the other penguins were. Wouldn't you agree?

Brian, I for one love it! I would love if there was like an out of breath mommy penguin with the baby penguin begging for more, you know kinda piggybacking on march of the penguins. As is though, don't care about the other opinions up here, I like it lots hands down.

When I wrote this, I typed "f a t" and the software changed it to "tub o butter" that's weird.
I had to put spaces between the letters to get f a t to show up in the reply.

It's a word filter. There are many words that get filtered into other stuff, so if you notice that everyone seems to be talking about pancakes a lot, or everyone is giggling or talking about "Nevermore," know that it may just be the filter rather than some arcane woot-esque language.

Well the design will be the same, but any strange pixelation ("artifacts") won't appear. jpg images are usually a little bit blurry because of compression and other technical junk. When designers submit images to the derby, all that you see are 72 dpi images for the design detail and shirt comp.

If something is going to be printed, the designer needs to send a 300 dpi image to woot (if they hadn't already) - and it would be a pdf, psd or ai file (I can't remember if others were allowed) so the quality will be much higher. If they don't get that file, even if the design had thousands of votes more than the next in line, it will get passed over. So if it's just a little bit pixelated, you don't need to worry about it.
