Re: Spring FLing

when this was rejected for being off-topic, you could have chosen to redesign it and make the movement clearer. You chose to debate the rejection, and afaik no one has successfully appealed a rejection.

Regardless of the on-topic status, you will find that most artists/designers and voters prefer to see original art as opposed to clip art, regardless of the legality. You can see the Rejectionator's opinion about clip art on this derby entry.

& the Gaggle of Girls; so many shirts, so little space in the dresser!

Dunno about the copyright issues, but I like the design. This derby needed a Wii entry.

Hahaha! Ironically enough I prefer ketchup. This idea was actually was actually thought up by Geekfactor when I told her: "I'm watching Sweeny Todd right now, I really wish I could do something with the motion of blood spatter" she came up with this brilliant idea. =D Thanks for the support and the vote, Attila. =3

Thanks for getting it. The legalities weren't necessarily the issue. I've seen multiple rejections just based on the fact that it's not original art (even if not a copyright violation), or not changed enough to be considered your own.

There are so many great artists that enter these derbies. I feel some sympathy for the fact that voters can get bogged down in clip-art entries, and just get tired of looking.

I'm very much in favor of this shirt, by far than the current top four. We need to do some major rallying for this.

It's much appreciated! It'll be really tough to crack the fog, much less place but that would be awesome.

syntheticmessiah wrote:I like the concept and art..but what I do not like is how the blue area squiggles down and the silhouettes shrink progressively with it...My brain wants to see silhouettes of differing sizes; eventually when you get down to the 'tail' of the squiggle thered be so many silhouettes that its just black...sort of blending. If you get what I mean.

I'm sorry... I don't quite follow... could you explain some more? There are silhouettes of differing sizes... you do or do not like those?

I can see adding more silhouettes to the bottom... making them smaller and smaller but also making them more densely packed as the blue trail continues downwards... is that what you'd like to see? I'm interested in hearing your opinions, so please clarify.

With Army in the fog, I'm really rooting for this to bump the Tsunami or Emotion.
Then I can get two great shirts. :D

No offense to those shirts though.

I love this little guy! simple, yet clearly conveys a message.

We lost the graffiti turtle to the reckoning, it would be nice to have another turtle shirt printed!

I'm so glad this is making its way to the fog. It's the first cho that I'd buy for myself. Also, everyone else that attends or has attended St. John's College would want one (at least secretly). Good job, cho!

Re: The Fastest Animals on Earth

I think this is my favorite tgentry design so far, and I'm a huge fan. (Hell, Eating Healthy was the shirt that turned me on to shirt.woot, and I still lament not buying before it was reckoned!) This is wonderfully designed (artistic license and all) and very wearable. Everyone will be able to get a kick out of these very different animals co-habitating (barely). I can't wait to buy this shirt this weekend!
