Re: It's all fun and games...

My boss used to say this to us, except he would say, "It's all fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out . . . and then it's just fun!" Ha ha.

superspryte wrote:This is an unfortunate rejection. I really liked this design. And I'm not sure what other colors would do it justice. Maybe you can incorporate it into another design sometime. Or maybe after 60 days you can have it printed elsewhere. ^_^

That's very sweet; thank you! =D

sparklzk27 wrote:Thanks so much and tell your daughter I said thank you as well! Shirt.Woot doesn't sell kids sizes do they? I have 3 nephews who I wanted to get shirts for if it prints. It means a lot to get such a nice response from a great artist like you KLS!

I'm not KLS (though wouldn't that be nice? aaah, to be so artistic for even a day...)

Anyhow, I have 3 girls, and they also love your design. My littlest said, "awww, she's giving the baby dragon a toy!" My 10 year old is very fussy about color and design, and loves the contrasting colors. You can see in this post how the designs look on my kids.

the 2 older ones are in WM, the youngest in a WS. my kids are 10, 8 and 4 1/2. The oldest is pretty tall for her age, but the other 2 are about normal size. I'm guessing you'd have to hem a shirt for an under-4 boy, as he or his parents might not appreciate the shirt-dress concept as much as my youngest appreciates it.

If the fog remains the same, next weekend will be expensive one for us! I wish woot had an "I want 4" button for those of us with larger families. Well, that's why my husband has an account...

& the Gaggle of Girls; so many shirts, so little space in the dresser!

Step 1: Find a reference that internet nerds would like. Videogames, pirates, ninjas, and popular youtube videos are among your best weapons.
Step 2: Draw, adding the vaguest of subtexts to make it somewhat on topic
Step 3: Submit

Nicely done, a little loose on the theme, but beautifully rendered.

This is my favorite shirt so far, I love how the golden color goes with the black t-shirt. That is a great color choice.

I really like this ktessa. I have one question: what is the third thing being held? I see the heart and the lunch bag; can't tell what the other thing is? (a 1st aid kit?)

I like the idea, the graphic is cool, but I don't actually think that most of these are mainstream quotes moms would say. At least not my mom. Esp not the free milk thing....but maybe that's because I'm a guy. I dunno.

I wanna vote, but it's just a near miss in my book.

superspryte wrote:Okay, then I'm going to assume this is Chinese because I don't recognize the characters and I read Japanese (母 alone is mother in Japanese). So I'll take your word for it. ^_^

Yes, it's Chinese, but even though I can read it, I still wouldn't buy it.

Oh, and the orphan quote? NEVER heard of that. What's it supposed to mean? The only 2 that hit home were #3 & 4.
