I can see many Grandmas, Moms and Grandchildren wearing this at the Botanical Garden on Mother's Day. I bet it could be marketed there and be more successful than you could imagine.

I don't think it was rejected because it depicts breastfeeding.. but rather HOW it depicts it. woot tends to reject things that line up intentionally with a woman's breasts.. go back and look at many past rejectees.. from the pasties last derby, to the 2 nuclear reactors a few derbies ago.. if it was just a portrait of a mother breast feeding, I doubt there would be an issue.. many of the shirts offered have designs that could be said to represent that sort of bond. this one just hits too many weird buttons, I think. heck, when i first saw it, I felt like the kid was being tortured.. it's just hanging in space, desperately trying to feed.

same sentiments: really like this design's execution/theme & i share the same voting criteria. glad to see it finally made it to the fog. hope it continues to climb. wow, low numbers this week re: votes. assuming it's the theme, or 400 voters went on vacation, or are studying for finals (l o l).

the designs i like typically end up placing 4th - 6th, too. hopefully, honorable mentions aren't just to keep the good designs/designers in limbo while awaiting a second chance to print either here or somewhere else after the 60 days.

P.S. - the bird with LIPS is hilarious

I would have loved to see this one on the purple with gold foil, but I think it is still cool. Great job.

Why is this one even questionable. It was submitted even after a fish one that showed the same thing. Big Momma Fish with too many babies . She is cleary stressed.

This is not outwardly about mothers or motherhood, so it will be rejected. Now it could be said that this is advice from a mother, but the shirt does not show it directly.

This shirt has language that woot will probably not consider PG-13. Their definition is much more stringent that the one by the MPAA. And finally, since this is offensive, it is outside of what woot considers acceptable. Check the rules on "what is woot".

Send a PM to superspryte in the morning to get advice on how to resubmit this. You will have to change more than the title, but I do not know what else.

I will say this: An average fish has lots of babies, and then goes away. They don't raise them like mammals do. But if you want to go with the idea of a Momma Fish, you might want to add more "kid fish" to the design.

Agree. I guess it is more appropriate for something other than woot. But if it is such a big deal why hasn’t it been rejected then? Never mind don’t answer that, i dont care.

Despite the thematic similarity to a currently fogged design, I had been contemplating a biological take on this derby since Thursday. Unfortunately, finals have resulted in a painfully late submission. Nevertheless, I hope you like it
