Now that is a shirt I would wear! I love the colors. Not sure my mom would wear it though... still got my vote

No, not all are but I would say the vast majority. Even if flowers and birds are replaced by zombie mom's needing love, it is still warm and fuzzy to me. Yours is cute, darkly funny, yet non-offensive though so kudos.

Thanks! The derby theme pretty much demands cute - and woot loves cuteness, anyway.

Would this count as parody? It seems to have passed the first round of rejections.

Yeah... seems to be enough of a parody to be safe. I could be wrong, though... we'll see when the second round of rejections come by.

A little flower who loves life, and their mother, understanding their child's excitement and loving every second of it.

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

It's a parody of M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).

Do their shirts look like that? The text seems to be parodying MADD, but the actual style reminds me of DARE - Drug Abuse Resistance Education. I have a shirt just like this from DARE, which I got when I was in grade 4-6 (I forget when).

My vote would be for no text. Then it could be a girlfriend/stepmom/ho nex' do/demented aunt/cross dressing lawyer shirt as well. I still favor blue for text (if used).

Do you think with no text some would think it isn't mom related?

Yeah, now that I think about it this looks more like a D.A.R.E. shirt in terms of style, though the letters are closer to M.A.D.D...

Re: Mother Symbol

You are actually all correct. All of those characters mean mother with different levels of formality. For instance, 母 is usually used in the word 母亲 (muqin), which is a fairly formal word for mother.

As for the actual design, I think the red is a little confusing. It seems like it was put there just to make a fairly boring shirt more interesting, but instead it just makes people wonder why it's there.

Wow, that is really close. I thought about taking this down, but that never got printed. The colors used are very common for Africa themed shirts, too.

Re: Where is little humphry?

When I was little I had a hamster that became pregnant. This hamster then gave birth to many little jelly-bean-looking babies. After a couple of days we noticed that there weren't as many babies as there were at first. The mommy hamster was munchin on her babies. I think it was because Joey and little Humphry were fighting and mommy just had a little too much of that.

She will never admit this but I have this sneaking suspicion that my mom may have wanted to eat us at one point or another, not because she wanted to eat babies but because we were a bit naughty at times. Thanks mom for not eating me. Happy Mom's day!

Thanks JBedWar! You'll have to get at least one shirt for your new baby's Mother. This will be her first Mother's Day, right? So you'll have to make it extra-special for her.

Thanks Heartluce for your comments too! I haven't 'seen' you around lately. Glad to see your post.
