Re: Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas (Latin Palindrome)

Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas

One of the oldest slogans in history of the mankind!

You can read it read top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top, left-to-right, and right-to-left.

The usual translation is as follows:
Sator 'Sower', 'planter'
Arepo Likely an invented proper name; its similarity with arrepo, from ad repo, 'I creep towards', is coincidental
Tenet 'he holds'
Opera 'works', '(cares)', 'efforts'
Rotas 'wheels'

Two possible translations of the phrase are 'The sower Arepo holds the wheels with effort' and 'The sower Arepo leads with his hand (work) the plough (wheels).'

Re: Users Cause Bugs

I just read this one to my sister. She took it to mean you don't like your users and so purposefully add bugs to your code. Ha! ...um, you don't do that do you?

The white says "Color blindness FTW!!"
I should mention, since many viewer are not nerds/geeks, that FTW means "For The Win".

This is irony - two shades of grey T-shirt...rainbow (colorful thing) dull(opposite of colorful), dah...and...have you ever heard of Rainbow Bright, the gaudy doll of the 80s?

Thanks, Mia! It's amazing people can actually find shirts they like in the sea of quotes, let alone comment on them. I'm so glad you liked this one.

You know to much. Please contact family and friends immediately and let them know you will soon be "vacationing" for a while at Shady Acres Reprogramming Villa 11010C. The "doctors" will be arriving shortly.

I actually intended this to be on the back of the shirt too, but forgot to incorporate that in the entry pictures... I thought of the tracks, but it looked too busy. I wanted people to read it easily, but still notice the tread.

Re: Stupidity, the worlds best teacher.

My second design... as you can see I accidentally switched the shirt comp and the design pics... I hope its not a problem, if it is I will re-submit it.

My dad said this to me a lot when I was growing up, it's a great little piece of information.... What do you all think? Hope you like and thanks for voting!

AdderXYU wrote:Have you ever heard that old adage about "quality over quantity"?

I think once you use words like "glomp" you've long since left that idea in the dust.

I was trying to do both, personally. And there is nothing wrong with the word glomp, or any other word in Otaku culture. It is a viable word for Con goers and otaku. I have been glomped, and it is part of my regular speech. That does not make me less qualified, or not as good as some one else. I did not use the word glomp as a throwaway, but because i could envision people wearing that shirt at conventions, especially ones like Otakon, where signs are banned.

Re: Awkard Pickup Line

From a friend I believe, a combo of two well known cheesy lines "Did it hurt? When you fell from Heaven?" and "Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?".

The end result? Something real smooth.

Seriously.

The only problem with this is your ragging on a shirt with over 100 votes, just because you couldn't creat anything as witty.
