Carrollton is nestled up against northern Dallas, and Dallas, as you may have heard, is not a small bucolic Texas town. You have to go a little further out to get there.

Or, to put it another way, in a derby full of over 1200 entries, where the derby page takes minutes to load and could freeze a browser at 30 paces, why would you submit something with no slogan which would be rejected anyway for being a woot reference and would get lost in the shuffle of hundreds of entries at absolute best.

You know what... this would be absolutely amazing if that was embroidered on the shirt instead of screen-print. It's just that kind of font.

'course that would raise the price of the shirt by a ton... LOVE the font though!

I don't believe so. I looked around and didn't see it quoted anywhere for him. There are also people who claim it belongs to about a dozen other people but not one can agree on one single person. I had to cross reference quotes to see. Heck one person claimed it was from a comic strip even though I heard it before said cartoon was drawn.

Ah, Adder, I'm glad I did SOMETHING you could grumble and/or bemoan fate about. Realistically, this contest is a train wreck. and I know exactly where Carrollton is, thanks a bunch.

Oh, I'm glad to see you doing so well in this contest.

Somewhere in the boards, a few weeks ago, Woot did say something about being more strict regarding rejecting design resubs unless significant revisions have been done. Can't find it at the moment though... EDIT: bluchez found it tho.

Carrollton is not a pleasant place to be right now, but crime is not the reason. I saw this and was only coming to see who was foolish enough to submit it. I'm really surprised at what I found...

You're surprised that a 50 year old man who can't grasp the word parody, gets outraged when people point out that his designs won't print well, believes slugs should be incorporated into every derby theme, and makes petty comments about people's upbringings when he's called into question, would make an unfunny nonslogan that is instant rejectorbait?

Because sometimes you need a reminder. I know it's been said before, but I Googled around and didn't see it on a tee shirt...my apologies if it's already been done.

Blkvette71 wrote:And as I stated earlier unless this is covered in a higher math that I haven't taken, namely trig. (I have only recently completed college level algebra and am starting on Pre-Calc next semester), that covers the true value of e. Then I don't know.

Equality is transitive. If a=b and b=c then a=c. Transitive relations should have been covered in algebra.

I think you at least accept that e^iπ = -1

(-1) x (-1) = +1

Expression "a" is +1.

Expression "b" is (-1) x (-1)

Expression "c" is (-e^iπ), which is the same as (-1) x (e^iπ).

If
+1 = (-1) x (-1)
and
(-1) x (-1) = (-1) x (e^iπ)
then
+1 = (-1) x (e^iπ).
