Really Adder, you ought to have another hobby than trying to annoy me. The only people that seem to hate my designs regularly are you. oh, yeah, and I'm not 50. go back to Derby 38 and do the math. the info you need to figure it out is that I was born in September.

I want this shirt. Of course, I would also need to get the orbs to actually wear it in public. Does woot.com sell orbs?

So much better than an eye for an eye...As with my other entry, I checked around and didn't see this on a shirt yet -- apologies if I missed it.

I'd get it if for no other reason than my Church is in Carrollton and I end up spending a lot of time there. In fact, bumped into a new Woot! employee at the coffee shop near my Church the other day.

Seriously, how is "No Smurfin Way" still not rejected. I just saw the shirt at Urban Outfitters with a picture of a Smurf last week.

If the shirt was blue, you could change the word to 'red' and that the reader is moving away too quickly. Girls running away is relevant. Great idea!

Wait, this has been in the fog since Friday afternoon! How is it being rejected now?

The contest rules state:
"And finally...no slogans that have ever been printed on another t-shirt, or that even come close, in keeping with our usual prohibition against stealing other people's ideas. If you see a shirt entry that has been printed elsewhere, please feel free to tattle."

This has never been printed over at Threadless, why was it rejected? Sigh.....

ROFL I already tried the 'arrr' joke as a title with my 'Pirate Vaarrsity' Shirt. I didn't want to do that over and over again. Besides, amusement should come from the subtly of the design. Putting too many puns and pirate references in it, will only serve to kill the piece.

"When life gets you down, there's only four little words that can pick up your spirits again: shirt. Excellent for bankruptcy meetings, divorce court, or to celebrate the birth of an illegitimate child." - Jesus' Cousin Steve

I was in the midst of designing a "Your Ad Here" shirt when my computer froze. This is the design that logically followed. I suppose it's better than violence towards the elderly, or eating peeps until I burst.

it was ENTERED at threadless. that alone should be the reason. They reject entries here all the time because of there being similar ideas elsewhere.

I've never seen a shirt get un-rejected, even when it was an admitted accident. What's the story? Has an oops button been added now? Just curious about the coding. ^_^

I guess the whole woot exclusivity clause can be completely thrown out the window. With the Calvinball and Monkey shirts in motherhood being for sale elsewhere, and this one this week, you can apparently submit anything to woot and other sites and sell your design wherever the heck you want to. I argue about woot being able to make up the rules as they wish all the time, but to completely deny the terms of the contract that we ALL agreed to is absolutely amazing to me. This bothers me MUCH. If the contracts we enter into don't mean anything, then please remove the terms and conditions so that those of us who play by the rules don't have to abide by them as well.

I think the issue is more or less with the unrejection. In 43 derbies, I don't think a single entry has been unrejected, much less with all votes intact.

I think you guys have one of the wittier entries in the derby, but the fact of the matter is that woot has insisted time and again that they cannot reinstate entries, yet they did for you. Whether they were right or wrong in the rejection, the reinstating is unprecedented.

I don't know when you submitted the slogan to threadless, but if it was within the last 90 days, you could not legally enter this entry. I could be making too big of a deal out of this, but it really seems to be in violation of the contracts that you agreed to. If it was more than 90 days ago (before Feb. 16th), I think you are probably legally OK.

Threadless Terms and Conditions wrote:In addition, by submitting your Slogan, you may not reproduce, sell, or submit the Slogan to others for any commercial purpose for ninety (90) days after the Slogan has been submitted to Threadless.com. Once the ninety (90) days have passed, if your Slogan is not chosen for print by Threadless.com, you are free to use the Slogan for any commercial or non-commercial purpose.

Woot Terms and Conditons wrote:13. Artist Representations. Artist represents and warrants that he/she has the right to enter into this Agreement, that the Artwork is original and has not been previously used commercially, and shall not infringe upon or violate any copyright, or any other personal or proprietary right of any kind of any third party. Artist indemnifies Woot, its officers, directors, employees, successors and assigns, against any and all losses, expenses (including attorney’s reasonable fees), or damages arising out of any breach of Artist’s warranties, representations, and obligations hereunder. This paragraph shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement for any reason.
