Thanks. Before to long, maybe I'll make the entire solar system, and then see where I go from there.

Re: Not Easy Being Cliché (Resub)

The design consists of slime falling down the shirt with a frog riding a leaf. A leprechaun on the frog's back is trying to catch an emerald ring while dragging an alien who is losing his money. All adds up to a fun illustration of green clichés!

Resubmitted to correct errors from the original submission.

Thanks for the kind words. I was trying to do something new and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out... If I had another week to do it, it would have a lot more detail. but as they say "the enemy of good is better"

but to burst your bubble, technically black is the absence of all color, whereas the best representation of all colors would be white.

you're thinking light.. ink and paint is the opposite

Thanks! This is my second try after a disappointing 10 votes in the last derby. I'm so psyched that I have 25! I think it's time to stop refreshing my page and go to bed...

PS Maybe woot will sell a case of lint brushes for 50 cents. :P

Awesome execution, do not dig the design sadly. I see myself voting for you a lot in the future.

The Green Predator is about being on top. This winged beauty has a thin layer of black separating the white from the green.

Re: Venus Mind Trap

I was thinking of different plants when I was brainstorming for this derby and I thought a venus fly trap would be cool to draw. For some reason the term "Venus Mind Trap" popped into my head and this was the result. It's just a guy with a venus fly trap for a head.

Looks great!

Maybe I'm blind, but did you use any green colored ink in the design?

Great, great composition. Threadless-worthy, so this will be in the Fog soon, hopefully replacing "Grow-tilted-sideways".

Wow! Although I don't think I would be interested in purchasing this one, another great design!!! That's 3 weeks in a row I've liked your design! You may end up with fans, soon, Ehalcyon. hehe!

Is there any way to follow your entries other than just checking the fog? ;)

I think this version has grown on me. I really like how you've completed the renderings of the tree and grass, nice textures. I like how only the flower is colored. Makes it pop a little.

Good choices.
