Re: DOODLEBUGS
I love doodles. With what I've seen printed on the baby blue shirts, I'm wondering if this would turn out better on creme or lemon. Or maybe a huge adjustment on the sketches towards a darker blue? Baby blue is weird when they print. ...although... so is creme. T-T
Re: It's a maggot!
where's my maggot? : (
kylemittskus wrote:For my girlfriend. GMV!
This would be perfect if it were smaller and off-center. Great design!
narkus wrote:where's my maggot? : (
I couldn't decide whether to put him on the meat or not. He's your maggot though. You pick. Meat or no meat? ...also what color do you want him on?
Re: Beeware
The bear's expression is great. I'm not sure why a bee that big would need some honey to get the bear, but it's pretty funny anyway.
americaskate wrote:I Love this! Hopefully it gets upvoted. Kinda split between wanting it the image bigger or not.
Disagreed! If anything, I would like to see the image even smaller. Great design!
Re: Metamorphosis
So this is a rough entry that I may end up redoing and resubing, but I wanted some community opinions first. Tell me what you think! Critique will almost be paid for, thats how much I want it : )
fablefire wrote:Well you should have had more people vote for my other stuff then, like: or or
The 1st and the 3rd are the same faces with different expressions, merely altered to fit the body of the creature. The frogs were different, and thus I voted for them.
Re: INterSECTionS
Did this last night, just got home from work, uploaded it as soon as I could. There are already 115 entries 3 hours in--wow!
Re: Khepera
Very cool. Reminds me of a Journey CD cover. Man, I'm getting old.
Re: Who Invited the Stink Bug?
Really nice illustration, composition - great colors! Funny :D
Re: Sir Mantis
Great Illustration.
zakmancrothers wrote:I think you should submit another version on a yellow background so it looks like a sepia tone photograph and so that the mantis pops a little bit more. Just a thought, i really like this version too though.
ditto
jones21403 wrote:I actually like the look of the spiders on the background color better than the ones on the black tee shirt. If you resub I'll revote.
deal. I do too.
Re: The VW Human
People drive beetles, beetles drive people. Exemplified in simplicity that only a Sharpie, paper, and scanner can deliver, for your wearing pleasure.
Love the colors; really sweet design, Toe.
nice
jeremyvm wrote:Nice tie.
Thanks guys, The tie idea just wrote itself in really. It was a must.

Got it. Well then what sort of faces would you like to see? I'm always interested in what's cool and hip these days.
Belruel wrote:i really really like your shirt design! a whole lot! it is adorable and i think it is well balanced on the shirt. i would so buy one in a heartbeat.
Thanks Belruel! I wanted to make the bees all colorful in space, but it just didn't look right.
Re: Bumble Bomber
Love the style.
Re: Summer Buzzin'
I thought for sure that I had the "Red" issue figured out before I submitted, but i guess not. I exported as a standard .jpg with zero compression and sort type vector from CorelDraw. Anyone have any suggestions?
Re: At Last We Meet . . .
awesome, i will definitely buy this if it gets in. would be nice though if you could include the words "at last we meet" on there. oh well. still awesome.
Re: Busted
Despite the fact that I fear it's likely to get rejected for not being PG-13, you've still got my vote. It made me giggle, and that's one of my criteria for voting! Good luck!
jones21403 wrote:Unfortunately, they consider exclamation points as text.
Thats not text thats a circle with a floating rectangle of doom.
Re: Stylized Scarab
I Made a less stylized version of this but figured it was done elsewhere, so this one got a crazy treatment at the end ;)
Re: My Pet Bee
I could never tire of this priceless face - GMV!
Whoa... trippy. I'm having an acid flashback, and I've never done acid. :-)
Re: KABUGDOSCOPE
hope this wins...can't believe its not in the fog
Everything was going good until HE showed up! It's about time that nature's uninvited pests get to deal with an uninvited pest of their own.
I like the art, but he seems a little huge on the shirt there. Perhaps it would be less overwhelming if you put him in a frame (a small oval, perhaps) and moved him to a pocket placement?
klswoot wrote:Gorgeous colors and details Zenne. I knew right away that this was your entry. I really like it. I almost think the grey (jellyfish-like) background overwhelms the delicate design of the butterfly. But, I like the way you use the halftone dots to soften it a bit. Good luck! Beautiful lines and swirls!
I agree, I would like it more without the jellyfish in the background. It make the shirt a little busy. The butterfly itself is amazing.
Congratulations, you are entry number 18,000. :-)
Buying one of these for my wife. Keep rising into the fog
Re: Daydreamer
llo, Looks like the cooties bug
eHalcyon wrote:Great job again Jaden. I'm particularly taken with the wood texture and the magnified portion in the glass. Maybe you could do a flea market as well.
nah... don't want to do the flea thing more than once. Repetitiveness doesn't do well within the same derby. I have another one I'm working on though Thanks for liking the wood and the glass though. I had to think a while about the glass
daedalusknight wrote:Congratulations, you are entry number 18,000. :-)
Oh my! I'd like to thank all of the little maggots I stepped on to get here... <3
Re: 42 Honeycombs
Even though I personally wouldn't buy it, I think this design deserves to be printed. It's interesting and very well-done. I'm giving you my vote!
fablefire wrote:Oh my! I'd like to thank all of the little maggots I stepped on to get here... <3
