I agree totally. I really like this one. Looks great on the black. Love the feeling of motion that you were able to achieve with the swirls. I agree with the other poster too. I wish the shadow of the upper wing was shown on both sides. But, perhaps this was excluded in order to fit in the bounding box? Or was it to show the same butterfly in a sideways position?

Either way...it's a very beautiful design.

Riff - THis is so very clever. I have to say, I thought it might be Dekonstruct's at first...given the witty, silly humor. (That's a complement to you and to Dekonstruct, by the way.) I wouldn't have thought it was a Riffmaster entry. I was pleasantly surprised.

wow people are so uptight...I guess when you're around hispanics everyday you learn that you don't have to walk on eggshells around them when it comes to race. I'm a Texan and I know plenty of my hispanic friends that would get a kick out of this. I guess i can see uptight white guilt thinking its offensive, but I think you'd be on the wrong track. Got my vote.

You must have a genetics background. Brings back memories of when I used to mix Drosophila with different eye colors to get white eyes when two recessive genes were inherited by the offspring.

My genetics knowledge only goes as far as IB Biology (higher level) in grade 12, but I know the fruit fly stuff is common in university-level biology labs. Fun stuff.

I love it when people have friends of an ethnic group and then magically know everything about that group. Being actually hispanic and not just "around hispanics everyday" or having "hispanic friends", I don't find this shirt offensive until the creator says he wanted it to be. So is that uptight to be offended by a shirt with the purpose of comparing Mexicans to roaches? I'm ok with being uptight if it is. If the shirt is just cute mariachis singing that old song, then carry on. Let's get some clarification from the "boarder towner" artist.

Plus, thinking that a hispanic person would stab you for wearing this shirt is just as offensive as the shirt might be.

Thanks! Of my three entries this is my favorite. I was very happy to be noticed enough to be in the fog, even if just for a couple hours.

this is a total collaboration between my son and I. he did all the illustration, I did the colorwork and layout. it is bugzilla, when 13 year olds attack. what happens from the bugs perspective when Godzilla comes into their midst. I am really rather proud of him, this was totally his idea. n_n votes and comments welcome!

had a little bit of a problem with the design detail, I was stupid and should have blown up the shirt first then shrunk down but oh well. you get the idea. I am just a little disappointed with the distortion. but all in all I am very pleased!
