...and yes, I think that this design at 8px per inch would've been awesome (and with more lines of course). =D

This is great. You really got a lot of depth in it which looks cool. Nice and simple, GMV.

Re: Get Your Nerd On

I'm sure over 60% of the participants here at Woot wear glasses. I know I do. This is for our four-eyed friends; to take control of our image and embrace our geekitude. It's also for the other 40% who don't have glasses and wish they did. We're the silent majority no longer!

hey guys, does it look like the shirt in this?

Cheese and crackers, what the daisy hill was THAT?

Anyway. The shirt looks beautiful. I'm a sucker for OCD design (I do Elizabethan blackwork embroidery for FUN), and this is gorgeous. I'd buy it, and I've voted for it.

What a coincidence. They called me and asked me to audition for them recently. I should bring them my shirt, try to make a little scratch that way ;)

Yeah, personally I think it would look a lot better if it were just drawn with a sweet background pattern around it in black and white. I'm really strong on stark color and nobody likes white. I really appreciate the comment. Something for me to think about next derby.

Briany wrote:Lines? My dear sir, there are no lines in this piece of work, only the illusion of lines. It has to look like a mosaic or it wouldn't be an ode to a Grecian Octopus . . . It'd be an ode to an Atari Octopus . . . or something.

It may still get rejected for the "illusion of lines." The squares were suppose to be continuous pixels and no lines or spaces between squares.

Re: Leafy Design

This is interesting, but it doesn't quite read as "leafy" in color. If you shifted the colors so that they were all shades of green it might look more like leaves. Good luck to you.

Not for the text, but they do not allow woot related shirts.....

I'm sorry you feel that way. I hope, though, that you don't mind other people voting for a shirt that they like, even if it's not to your personal taste.

Good for her! Bassoons are cool though I don't know many people who play them.

In The Matrix there was a scene that coined the phrase "There is no spoon". Bassoon kinda rhymes with spoon, and since it's a music related play on The Matrix I just went with it.

@ cheese - Thanks! I was surprised at how well it worked with just two colors.

You really gotta go out and pimp this design more so it can get in the fog. It's literally the only shirt in the competition I would consider buying.
