Great design! I enjoy the style of drawing and the yellow halftone atmosphere. http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=19415

Thanks corefolio
fablefire wrote:I haven't read Minus, but I'm definitely reading it now. Takes a little while to load. Very cool comic though. I like the whimsical watercolor look with the semi-twisted humor. =D It's fun to read the author's comments too. Web comics are a lot of work. Always wanted to do one but I have a horrible attention span when it comes to plots. >.< The baseball bat thing also reminds me of the last episode of Fooly Cooly, except instead of a bat, the main character had an electric guitar. Thanks for the support everyone!
You could try one-shot comics instead. You're certainly far better artistically than many webcomic writers out there.
Re: It looks like a job for...
You call Sly Cooper???
Re: Halp!! Out on a limb ....
so many blending options on that shirt composition :P anyway, did you try an all-red shirt color? that red spot does no justice for the color!
this doesn't exactly scream "emergency" to me.
Re: I'm Wired! (resub)
This is what happens when a geek lets a cable management problem get out of hand... A few amputations may be required to help this fellow out...
drkblkforest wrote:I love pinatas, and so does my friend! This would be perfect for him Though I honestly don't think rain would hurt a pinata that much.... maybe try something involving fire instead? Much more menacing than rain in my opinion.
Now that I really think about it, you may be right. If it was worth the work I'd probably change it, but at this point I'll just let it serve as a reminder to keep my blowtorches away from my pinatas.
Re: The Purple Menace (lowered)
Good call on lowering it.
Re: Revenge!
ummm dude, its a Nintendo licensed property...
Re: The Bunny Rabbits Is Coming! (Now in color!!)
Now in color! Based on this clip from the old Garfield and Friends cartoon

Yeah, I would have to agree...
Re: Um . . Help?
I'm sad this is out of the fog, too I definitely prefer this one over the fish!
Re: Emergency Umbrella
This is by far my favourite design in the derby. I just wish it was higher up in the rankings. I would kill for this shirt.
Re: Trouble in Pucker City
We worked hard on this effort. Lots of time waiting for files to transfer across the Potomac. Much difficulty with hardware (Kenny) and Software (Joe) before completion. Please vote for the dynamic duo! Who gets the call when that ape-big ape starts tossing giant bananas at the air traffic? (yeah, that's a zeppelin) That's right, the Pucker! note: all halftone dots are 1 point or larger in diameter. These were individually checked before entry. There are 6 colors plus the royal blue shirt: RGB Black, White, Pink, Chalk yellow, red, and 20% black.
fablefire wrote:The dinosaurs had an emergency on their hands. They sent their best hitter up to the Cretaceous plate, and hoped for the best. (Sorry about the resub. Apparently woot has a filter for f.a.i.l, and it was screwing with my entry due to the title).
Good luck! I really want this shirt.

Re: I didn't mean to!
Poor volcano, it's not his fault he spouts hot, molten lava and ravages poor villages.

Re: Me-Too Birds Flee a Pander Tree
Well I lost potentially a days worth of votes on this, but here it is anyway for your consideration... Me-Too Birds Flee a Pander Tree
hahaha I love the little ones, I didn't see them the first time around. I really hope this wins ><
Ha ha! I have days I feel the same way! Good job.
I'm gonna submit my take on a ctrl+Z shirt. cool idea.
nice title.
Re: Curious Little Turtle
Thank you all for your votes! I've never had a shirt in the fog before, so this is pretty exciting!

Re: Emergency Taxi
This is so true!
funkadelikbob wrote:I would've done the box, but then i would've had too many colors. It was supposed to look like a treasure chest. And i really didnt expect to win anyways. They also look nothing like any other entries. These have dimension, and different faces symbolizing different things like war, stupidity, famine, and death.
I spent some time trying to find the DBH design (couldn't remember where I saw it and could barely keep my eyes open), when you put this up in the forum... glad someone else found and noticed it (i forgot to look next day!).. anyways dude, you could have chosen a shirt color that could sub for one of the "demons" in order to include the ever-missing box... design 101 homie... too defensive for my tastes...

Oh my. I was so unaware--embarrassed even. Its like my skirt was tucked into my pantyhose or something. I would change it, but I honestly liked the design best on light blue. But now you have my word: if ever I make a design that I like equally well on light blue and another color, I will submit on the other color. Please vote for my shirts. :o)
the lightning looks very nice. it really has a fantastic electric look to it.
Re: Who Pushed the Button?
I've just been notified that light blue is the new asphalt (but not in a good way--in a tired way). Still, I think this design is super clever and I would LOVE to have it on a t-shirt. In fact, I like it so much I'm going to nominate it for a BLA!
I like the half tone around it. GMV!
Discobiscuits wrote:so many blending options on that shirt composition :P anyway, did you try an all-red shirt color? that red spot does no justice for the color!
Thanks for the suggestion Disco. I will definitely take a look at how this looked on red. Right now, I need the green of the shirt as one of my 'colors'. But, maybe adding a green ink and letting the red be the shirt color might work too! Here's why I included the red circle: I felt the cat and the breaking branch were small relative to the design, so I thought the red circle sun would draw the viewer's eye upward and make you focus on the cat that's in trouble. With green and red being complementary colors, I kind of liked the contrast of the two. I wanted the circle of the sun to play into the circle of the tree sections and be large enough to just touch all the tree parts. It just seemed right to me, but I know that some folks are finding it a tad distracting. I'll play around with the design on red and then find something else to do with the design 60 days from now. Thanks again for the suggestion. I'll play around with the red and see what it looks like. -kls
I love the design. But, I do not understand the title.
Re: What do you mean by Oops?
Looks great. I think the colors would be incredible on Black.
Nice twist on an overused animal. GMV, and I hope it wins.
I get it. Pretty funneh.

Haha, pretty universal, this. I like it.
