Re: Inspired by Pulp Fiction

In case anyone is intersted in a piece of esoterica, "American fiction, collections & short stories" is 813.08 in the Dewey Decimal system. But most libraries will skip over the 813s and have a seperate, non-Dewey section for fiction.

Enjoy the design... vote for it if the citrus moves you.

Re: Dawn of the Dead

I love your style and this got my vote, but I'm not so much digging the halftones- it contrasts oddly with your hand drawn textures to me, and I think those are one of your major strengths stylistically. Nice work tho

Very nice job-- the tiger really pops out at me first and hides the dragon. Reallyreally cool, I'm sure this took a long time. Well worth it.

ya2sabes wrote:Subtle, yet striking. I haven't seen the movie, but is the time particularly important? Or was it just random? Either way, niice design.

The time isn't specific to anything about the movie (that I'm aware of), and wasn't really random; I just tried to balance the "heaviness" of the lower left by drawing more focus to the upper right. I like the idea though! IMDB shows the film's running time is 136 mins, so 2:16 might be an interesting hidden reference.

I really like the way that the dragon is the second image that you are able to pull out of the design as if it were really hidden behind the tiger. Nice work!

I would like to say that this image has special meaning to me... but really I just wanted to draw a sumo wrestler. So here you have it straight forward a fat man and a little boy. Enjoy!

sorry, if you want to stay in the derby you have to get inside the minds of the judges. which, of course, means becoming an i d i o t. i would love it if george lucas came down on woot for the c3po shirt. or rather, wouldn't it have been nice to be rejected merely based on the fact that the teaming dumbmasses are just going to buy anything star wars related? it doesn't take much work to steal other peoples' creations.

Mark is amazing! How could I have missed him!

And, I just realized that the guy is eating a goat. I thought he was just chewing on a bone until I saw the little hoof. Goat is much better. Cute.
