BootsBoots wrote:I think this is the most appealing aspect of this shirt. Seriously. I like that. If I bought it, I think I'd wait until 2020 to wear it. Then it would be awesome. Who knows what size I'll wear then, though, so I'll have to pass.

And, I don't know why people are saying it's a Republican shirt. It doesn't really seem to be making any statements against Barrack (unless you try really hard to read things into it). It's just a play on his campaign slogan, giving the "believe" a silly connotation.

Truth, truth. Not only that, Obama isn't the only presidential candidate, or indeed political figure, to ever run on a platform of change. It mocks political sloganism in general... this would be as relevant in 4 years, or 4 years ago. Associating it purely with Obama is being unable to see past your own nose, but then, being unable to see past ones own nose is what got the country into a situation where Obama seems so appealing.

Seriously, think really hard about other politicians in your past. How many ran on change, and how many had slogans like "Johnson: Four more years of the same carp you disliked about that other guy"? Not that I can't think of at least one dude who might have had a more honest slogan if he went that route...

SO tired of hearing it.

Or it's the "McCain has admitted to internet illiteracy" mantra. Though I hear he's finally learning.

Unless the liberal media warped that video quote. Baaad liberal media, implying that McCain is old. Why, he's a spry 72! No other president has been elected looking as good as he does at his age. Though that's partially because no other president has been elected at his age.

(also worth noting: While the photo that really sparked the modern Nessie myth is a couple years older than McCain, and mythical creatures have been allegedly sighted as long as humans have existed, Bigfoot as we know him is considerably younger than our ex war-hero.

I really hate shirts that have an expiration date. Sure, it's a little funny now but as soon as the election is over the shirt is hopelessly uncool.

Just like the cars with bumper stickers from the election three years prior. C'mon. Get out the GoofOff and a plastic scraper and get the thing off your car.

I could see Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons wearing one of these. Honestly.

In for 2 (one for me/one for the wife).

Don't think of the shirt as "expiring". Think of it as becoming a "collector's item reminiscent of the period".

Yeah, that's it. Self-justification at its finest.

For everyone who doesn't get it... this is a direct bash against Obama's "Change" slogan. Meaning... that it's easier to belive in a Bigfoot/Nessie campaign (fictional creatures) than it is Obama changing things.

Gosh people... learn to context here.

I cant believe how many comments I had to read before I found one that made sense, the world is full of idiots. I am very concerned for my country. They can not print enough of these T-shirts. Please take the time to research and educate yourself about the candidates before you Vote.

This is just making fun of all politics. Which should be made fun of. Big corporations own both parties. So the shirts funny in the sense there will be no change on either side. You can not change anything with a Democrat or Republican they eventually go down the same road. I am voting Bigfoot, The only company giving him any money is that Beef Jerky company.

Dated? A shirt portraying mythical beasts running for office claiming "CHANGE!" I'd say a retro-political-intelectual stab at the establishment "then" and "now" in the year 2012 sounds just about right... This shirt should be good for at LEAST 4 more years... may be 8! Bets?

If I can't see it, it doesn't exist... unless it's pinching me.

Highly political.

Highly dated.

And marginally offensive.

How hard is it to find t-shirts that people will actually buy? I guess maybe harder than I thought.

Hunny, although it quotes obama's slogan, its more a satire of all the electoral system right now. But don't take my word for it, watch the campaign video. Tell me if they're pointing fingers at obama, or the whole thing. Thanks ;-)

Subtle...

Okay, I get the underlined "believe" thing. Mythical creatures that you can believe in. Right, right. But I just think it's too easy to exchange a politicians name out with some other name during an election cycle and pass it off as a joke. It happens every year and I can't ever remember a time where it was actually funny.
