Haven't voted on a Derby shirt in a long time but this is just too awesome! I agree that the perspective and shadows are perfect. It's such a clean design, and I look great in olive (and cranberry, more cranberry!)

GMV and purchase if it wins.

I agree. I used Illustrator for about 8 years, but that was 7 yrs ago! Before that CorelDraw. Seems like a lot has changed with both, but all I have now is Photoshop Elements & Corel Paint Shop Pro. I just started to play with them but they're a totally different method, & I miss the crispness from AI & Draw. Thanks for your replies! I'll keep you posted.

Ok.. so Im getting confused on the idea of "incidental" text

A speech bubble is hardly incidental..

just looking at the rejected items that say "not incidental text".. they are far less important to the shirts theme than this one..
take away the text and its a chestburster with a teacup, which makes no sense.. take away the teacup, and its just like two other shirts that were submitted.

Im not trying to knock the OPs effort.. Im just getting a bit put off by the application of woots rules each week.

I guess the idea of being a bird bath for Halloween wasn't as enticing as I'd hoped, but thanks for the positive comments! If any of you really, really want this design, it'll probably make an appearance in the WE3TEES shop at some point.

Incidental text means the shirt would get the same point across without the text AND that it's not a major design element. It appears that woot didn't think you met these criteria.

Woot was definitely a little to picky about this. The speech bubble was incidental for sure.

I gotta tell you, its times like these where I feel like opening up a 2nd secret account (or ten) and dump a bunch more votes on designs I dig, like this one. Its gets me anxious to not see well deserving shirts like these in the fog. I mean, there really isn't else I can do once I've voted but wait and see... it gets to me. Come on, get up there!

Thanks to all the cool people who have voted for me and supported on woot up to now. You guys are awesome, and please feel free to stop by threadless or dbh to vote for my past designs, alien included. I don't want to hassle with woot's ridiculous inconsistent restrictions.

Awesome design. Probably my favorite from this Derby. I really hope it manages to break into the fog - maybe taking the place of that God awful Game Boy entry.

Constructive criticism:

Woot will not be able to print that close to the seams. Make sure the design is within 1" from the seams and collar.

This just needs a little work and it'll be a great idea. Good Luck.
