Re: Never ending barrels in the style surreal/abstract
Really good idea. I'd like to see it with more colors and detail, though.
Re: To the Top in the Style of Da Vinci
Amazing shirt, and I can't wait to wear it if it wins.
*giggles*, that's really awesome!
Re: Shipwrecked in a stained glass style
I love King's Quest. It was one of my favorites. Really interesting style choice with the stained glass. Way to think outside the box.
BootsBoots wrote:Really good idea. I'd like to see it with more colors and detail, though.
I really liked the idea too... unfortunately my adobe skills are very minimal at this point. I thought about coloring it, but I couldn't get it to look right. This was my best look. Simple... maybe too simple.
Viscus wrote:placement on shirt is odd, and the design is too small.
Fix that and resub, and it will GMV without a doubt.
I agree. Making it just a little bigger and a LITTER lower I think would be better. I like how you do what you like though. You're no panderer
Re: Guitar Hero (Northern Renaissance)
Nice style choice. It looks good on the green, too.
Watch out, Mario! Here comes the blue shell!
"To the Top," indeed.
Re: Game Playa in the style of da Vinci
It's a really good idea (the controllers in his hands) and I like the sketchiness. His hair bugs me a little, but I'll still vote
Re: Missile Command in the Style of Van Gogh
Ooh ooh! Missile Command! I really like the game and Van Gogh was a really great choice for it.
Re: Knight in the style of Renaissance Etching
Really hope this makes it, I love it.
Re: Action heroine in the style of Matisse.
Nice one, ansharp. I was thinking about doing something with Lara as well, but I just love the style you chose. Great work!
ansharp wrote:Sorry, but this has already been done at Threadless. See here.
yankeebird wrote:I would have to agree with that. Some sort of border around the actual Etch-a-Sketch would be better.
I actually debated whether I should have placed an edge around the screen rather than putting it on a red shirt... but there was something that I liked about the red shirt.
Re: WiiFit Like An Egyptian
Cute. Very cute
Re: Grand Theft Auto in the style of Pop Art
Hey, I really like this one! Very cute idea. I like that you made it more like a comic strip rather than just doing the same scene over and over in different colors.
Re: Tetris in the style of prehistoric stonework
I thought of this almost immediately, but I can't make stone worth a darn... Nice job. GMV
I don't think you could consider that as text. Its actually part of the style on the shirt, plus i don't think you could actually make out what it says. GMV.
llo, great job

Thanks Bootsx2 and SN! I had a great time doing this one last night.
Re: Revenge! In the style of Edward Gorey
Love it! Especially the reference to the Gashlycrumb Tines! GMV
yankeebird wrote:Y'know, Ski, you're quickly becoming one of my favorite artists on here. I don't seek your shirts out, but when I see a shirt I like and look at the designer, your name seems to be popping up an awful lot.
Thanks yankee... I think you're my biggest fan. Hopefully someday you'll own a skirochester shirt!

Thanks... gotta represent for the Old Skool!

*giggles* thanks. Well, great minds think alike. You know my stone isnt that great either. Just freehand squares really...the perspective was the real trick for me.
This is fantastic. To see something like this and executed so well is such a treat!
Re: David TheSim in the style of Renaissance Sculpture
This is the only one that made me laugh so far. This is great.

"ha.ha" is automatically displayed as *giggles* ? I dont like to think of myself as that...affeminate.
this is incredible, my only beef of course being the shirt colour, but definitely has my vote
Re: The Freeman - Van Gogh Style Impressionism
ha... this is cool.
GREAT idea, and very well executed. Cheers!
Much cooler than the chump who did this whit the "Light Gun"
dekonstruct wrote:Thanks guys, it's a riff on Scott Musgrove's "Nimbus" in case anyone is wondering.
I hope both of our gordons make it in without a hich! Good Luck!
@Andy - Thanks! Yeah it needed a little something extra aside from the controller.
@Keelmy - Thanks! Ahh come on, you could wear it! ;)
@Boots - Much appreciated! Diggy looks good too!
@Cobol - Gracias!
@shaivya - I hear you. I had thought of making it a more contrasting color, but I wanted to maintain the overall subtlety of the original painting.
@j0naht - Thank you! You could put it on your wall.
Re: Plumber in the style of Rembrandt
Must be my work monitor, but I can't tell how big it will be on the shirt or where on the shirt it is.... Can someone who doesn't work for a sad organization please tell me....
In Gordon we trust!
Wow great shirt, i love this original piece, id definitely wear this
This reminds me of monday's episode of Chuck.
Re: Mario. Cubism.
I really like this...it won't be rejected because of the name format not being "x in the style of x" , will it?
I LOVE! MUST HAVE!
