Awesome Lichtenstein, but she needs to be sobbing. He always had them sobbing for some reason.

Nicely done. Not all of these submissions are done in the style they are trying reproduce, yours shows the style quite well.

Re: The Digging is Done in the style of Pointillism

I have mad respect for your skill, Boots, but it had been awhile since I'd seen a design of yours that I, personally, would wear. This, this is excellent! Love the colors, the art style you're aping, and the subject matter. This game used to crack me up back in the day

In for one if it wins and GMV.

I love the fact that this looks like an etched print. I bow to your renaissance ways.

Great design! And, dangit, put up the cranberry- it looked MUCH cooler.

mactraveler wrote:odd. i was so sure that was in the style of Wright! i guess in my mind's eye, i saw the tetris pieces falling down and being manipulated into place to eventually create patterns Wright was famous for in his stained glass windows.

but, i like it best of all the tetris shirts today so you still got my vote.

Wow... it does look like Wright! Thanks for the positive vibes. I liked this one more than my other one since it has the movement of the pieces as well as the actual art ode.

Thanks!

Re: The Digging is Done in the style of Pointillism

I have to admit that I'm sick of the Woot derbies and I don't like this theme but I love your shirt Boots and would wear it. You did an awesome job here with the style and subject and it just looks like a wearable rad shirt. GMV. Great color choices!

kdeuce... this is by far the best one I've seen in this derby. It's positively amazing, and I normally don't like the Mario designs.

GMV fo sho.

Seriously I don't know if I've ever seen a shirt get that many votes in the first two hours. You nailed the woot demographic square on the head with this one. Congrats.

well yeah, i guess it's a little early. the Rejectorator isn't up yet. thanks, though.

I think you'll be fine, as you said it's not actual text. You could always email joel and let him know that too in case he doesn't read the thread. Might avoid an unwarranted rejection.

Re: Mario in style of Matt Groening - Klasky Csupo

So I always thought Matt Groening drew the simpsons, but he only had the idea. Klasky Csupo drew and animated the characters. Finally finished, whew. Well, now to finish my other design.

Thanks in advance for voting everyone.
*Edit* - Since it looks like my first one is going to be rejected, everyone please check out my other SHIRT.

Re: Mario in style of Matt Groening - Klasky Csupo

Well, Klasky-Csupo is just the animation company. Matt Groening is the cartoonist that actually drew the original character designs, in his style. See his weekly comic strip : Life in Hell.

I would like this better if the controller was only about 75% its current size. I think it will wrap too much around the body when the shirt is worn.
