JadenKale wrote:Just a suggestion, boots. I like the dark color of this, but when I think of moths to a flame (light source) I think of it being lighter: pale yellow, bright yellow, white. Something much brighter to give the the full effect. I understand the name of the piece and why it's dark, but I saw you were possibly considering a resub... that's why I'm suggesting this.
It is really good though.

Thanks, Jaden. I think I'll try one with a lighter color tonight. I think you're right.

Thanks for the comments everbody.

Here's Lomky's winning post, btw:

Also you cant get inside the heart under the arm- that will just take you to the cloud. Technically.

So what do you want, Lomky?

Nothing wrong with having your head in the clouds...

Unless you want me to be specific, carte blanche :D

We got the point last derby. Now you are being silly. However, if you want to keep this in everyone's mind, find a way to use your favorite theme with only one line and only one color.

Please ignore the pixelly nature of the image. As usual, it was just a result of shrinking the image for submission.

Thanks for looking.

I like this shirt.

While some might say that the design is too simple, I find it is clean and sellable, Good Work

This shirt design is very simple but very cool. I'd buy one, and I already have too many shirts.

Re: ...been hanging around this old town too long.

Ever get the feeling you can't escape from the place that you live? That you want to go. Just go. Anywhere else. But you can't.

That feeling is because the town you live in is a giant mobius strip of eternal repetition. Drawn with one line. Yep, just like this one.

I'd just like to add that you probably should've spelled it "g@ytard" just for consistency

Jiimiyo, this is a great piece of work. I always figured that designers were allowed to use a reference. One of the comicbook greats, Alex Ross, has models that he uses for reference on almost all of his superdude(tte) portraits, so I figure it's kosher.

I'm glad you were able to find a derby where your linework would actually _get_ you votes, btw.

Re: Owl

Oh man I truly love owls, only I wish the colors could be reversed or just a little different. Like maybe a white, yellow or cream colored design on a navy shirt. Either way I absolutely love the artwork and even though I'm not a big fan of the baby blue, I'd really consider buying this one. Good luck yet again jimiyo!
