First post! Awesome job Loopy! I love the concept and the power squid just looks cool! GMV!

You can ride with me, or you can find your own path. Don't stab me in the back after I've cleared the way.

Say what you will about RobGlenn, he'll always go for the exact least creative idea. Especially when someone else provided that idea for him

Re: Everyone Knew When He Was In the Mood for Dance

Phillip loved to dance. All his friends told him not to be so "pleasantly upbeat", but he couldn't help it. He would hear the beat inside his head and he would start to twirl. He would twirl and twirl until he had created a giant whirlpool that made everything around him spin too. In those days many a sailor lost his life to Philip's love of dance, but Phillip didn't care. He knew he was fabulous.

Re: Selkies

Ancient Ireland tells of seals, or selkies, that would shed their oily skin and change into man when on land. If you could catch a selkie's cap or oily skin, they would forget their watery world and become obedient and devoted spouses. But if they ever found their skin or cap, they'd remember their previous life and return to the sea.

Thanks for looking and, hopefully, voting!

Love the illustration, but I am a little confused why the fisher appears to have his/her feet in the water.

Re: Deep Down, From the Bottom of My Heart

You can view the larger version here.

My whole concept was a couple on a romantic date (in this case a mermaid and a diver) under the stars, but the stars are off the bioluminescent creatures that live in the deep. I kept the values close so that perhaps, from afar people just think they are stars, but up close you know what's really happening.

Good luck to everyone for this derby and thanks to any voters in advance!

What could show your love of the sea than your own personal portable porthole? Just don't forget to feed the fish.

This poor shark is forced to go on a diet. Maybe it's time for this shark to trim up for the warm seasons ahead, or maybe some people never learn.

Re: BEEF WOLF 1860: in color

(CHEESEBURGERS + SUBMARINES) + (COLOR * MASS) CIVIL WAR = BEEF WOLF 1860 in color!

Imagine a time when meat sandwiches controlled hu-mon military designs. No? You don't want to? Ok, I did it for you.

Note shirt.woot overlords: I submitted this awhile ago during a line art or black and white derby. This time I colored it! YEAH!!

So is everyone else. I dunno. Makes sense to me. It balances the design out a little and maybe he's getting hypothermia, but it makes about as much sense as the fish, right? I mean... where'd they get the doughnut?

I thought- for once, let a small fish survive an encounter with a larger, toothy fish. Little guy needs to be packin' heat. Just to get him to step off, of course. Gun's not really loaded.

it's art. and a different existance. to question why feet are in cold water but not be bothered by fish that apparently use fins as arms and have the ability to pyramid themselves is unfortunate.

jamie, i support the feet in water. in your world, it works.
