Re: Fear of the Big Tent
thanks for all the kind comments. I just want to say that the idea for doing the reflection came to me from the Escher drawing Hand with reflecting sphere- what an amazing talent.

You mean, the beatty little eyes didn't give it away?
beautiful, very somber. It makes me sad that there would be a huge elephant dropping there.
mjc613 wrote:I think you are giving him too much credit. This is not on topic and it has text, so you will be rejected. You are advertising a bar in NY and another shirt website. How rude.
I wouldn't be caught dead in a bar with a shirt that bad... that and I didn't know it was even a bar.
Re: The Main Attraction
I like the changes a lot. very, very nice entry gentry. ha.
Re: Fight Fire
Nice! I do wish it were slightly less tilted ('though I do like the tilt - I don't think I'd care for it much at all on a straight vertical). But nice detail.
wow, very neat design. A bit of a stretch with the circus, but nonetheless, very sharp.
very cute. The filter was an excellent choice. completely changes the tone.
I love the desig, but I almost wish the circus tent wasn't there. I know it makes it seem more in the theme, but I feel it makes the thing a little too busy. But amazing art work, and I absolutely love the cleverness. You got a vote from me either way!
great shading on the trex. the color choices are also good. I think the ring leader could use a face
Re: Little squirrel join the circus
A squirrel in danger, self imposed in the name of entertainment? Well that is nuts. (counts up the 'nuts' jokes in the thread including those yet to come.)
Love the joke! I was just in a production of Barnum that has this.

Blolol. That shirt's awesome. I could never wear it, but it's still awesome. But I could wear this shirt. And I really like it.
Re: Petite Tat'
There is a version without the compression artifacts.
Re: I wish...
I really like the colors on this, and the overall design. There was something about it that stopped me from being 100% sold, and I couldn't put my finger on it until xazothia's post. As silly as it sounds, I think it really is the lack of chin definition. When I look closer, the inside color (or I guess it's actually the shirt color showing through) has it, but the purple glow sort of smooths it over. I think if the inner edge of the purple were more visible (blended into the shirt color less), then it wouldn't matter that the outer edge is so rounded. Not that I would have a clue how to make it visible (which presumably would involve lightening the color) without screwing up the overall lighting effect. Anyway, just my $0.02 -- as is, I'm still on the fence about it. I probably wouldn't have figured out what it was that was bothering me about it without xazothia's post, but it bothers me just enough that I don't love it as is. I do, however, love the feather - I read some comments of people thinking it looked like a shooting star, but it always looked like a feather to me ^_^
excellent pun. I think the lion looks great but the elephant is a little odd looking.
Re: Zombie Con Carnie
Clowns fascinate me, especially the zombie kind... Here's a bigger pic.
I LOVE this. It reminds me of an episode of Bones, where Bones and Booth went undercover at a circus. here's a pic from the episode
Great artwork. But I probably would have moved the feather. To close to the same line the nose is on. Looks almost like a big snot.
Very pretty design.

Wow.. what the heck are these people smoking??? Um... they are CARTOONS, they're meant to be a simplified/exaggerated version of... *sigh* ::walks away::
I had a dream like this once, except my chickens were only about 8 feet tall and were white.
Re: The Bow That Killed a Crowd
Teaches 'em not to make fun of his bow and frilly skirt.
Damn! That is INTENSE. GMV...
Re: Zombie Clown!
How the Grinch stole cotton candy?
Been awhile since I did 2 entries for one contest. Definitely inspired by Something Wicked This WAy Comes. Thanks in advance evreyone! LINK TO FULL COMP: http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m305/drakxxx/FULLCOMP-7.jpg DETAIL 1: DETAIL 2: DETAIL 3:
I love the idea - Zombie Clowns! But they don't look enough like zombies. And zombies generally don't operate power tools. Also, I'd rather see them as happy clowns as I'd really dig the Want-to-Eat-Brains/Painted-Happy-Faces dichotomy that would be created. But that's just me.
Re: Nightmare Circus
Wow, this is really stellar artwork- I think this is hands down the best piece in quality that you've submitted in my opinion- great stuff.

Was wondering when this was going to make its appearance. Go get 'em Drakxxx!
Delightfully creepy.
Great design. Dark and subtle. I feel for the elephant. I love animals so images like this move me. Very cool!
BootsBoots, I really have to ask. Were you born on or after September 24, 1991? No, I don't actually subscribe to a belief in reincarnation, but your work is really reminiscent...
Re: Basic Training
I absolutely would NEVER wear a shirt depicting an animal on fire because it was the result of being "trained" to entertain humans.
EXCELLENT shirt. Very, very cool. I love the color choices. GMV
holy..........you know what! The red black and white mix really makes this a killer design! I liked the original in black and white but this..well it's a force to be reckoned with! The balloons look better too! LOVE IT!!!
Beautiful job drawing the tiger, but as I stated on the other tiger/fire entry...I will not wear a shirt where tigers are on fire for our entertainment. It is evident that this tiger has completed his training and has learned to jump though the hoop without catching on fire, but the principal still bothers me.
Definitely an interesting way of drawing an elephant.
Re: Man Eating Lion! (resub)
I like this much better than your first run. I also like the fact that the lion is so cute and happy. Kudos!
Oh Mon Dieu! Stunning. It darkly sparkles.
