idroodit wrote:This is so frustrating! You JUST drew a large cat, from a side view, with black dot eyes... FACING LEFT. At least have them going the other way or at a three quarter view. I imagine you can do some really good work outside this cute style. And to me the idea of the derby having a "theme" is to branch out and try something different. There are a million tv shows. Seriously? Thunder Cats? Not trying to be mean or jump on the bandwagon but ARRrrrrrrr!!! I imagine a LOT of people like woot because they know they can get something different. But... ugh its starting to not be the case.

Um, People? Why SHOULD he? He's making money & having his shirts printed! OBVIOUSLY a lot of people REALLY LIKE this style of design.

Let him do style-expanding art on, well, an art site. If this works, Kudos to ramyb! More power to him!!

Re: Yay Broccoli! Inspired by THE FLASH

Inspired by the tv series "The Flash" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098798/). This design is PG-13 because vegetables do not have human genitalia.

Meh on the design. There's definetly an improvement from the first version though. Looks like you didn't even try on the first one, seriously.

The Twilight Zone... classic! The simplicity of of this design is the coolest thing about it. It's kind of reminiscent of Pink Floyd as well. Beautiful work!

Haha this is funny. Colors are uncommon but it's not bad. I'd probably prefer a random fist like someone mentioned or something. Just not that big guy.

Re: Inspired by Firefly

Oooooo pretty. Very pretty. It doesn't really say "Firefly" to me... except maybe for that one scene from Serenity when Mal was questioning the Sheppard about his past.

Still pretty, tho!

You love this signature. It's awesome.

Shirt Detail: http://i41.tinypic.com/30t27v9.jpg

Inspired By: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

See a sai? Most hopefully will get this quickly. A sai is the weapon you see on the shirt. The small turtle is seeing the sai. Ok, do you CSI now?

I'm keeping it simple with two colors. I love the turtles and CSI. I entered another "meh" version of this take in the derby for more hardcore turtles fans. It is really obscure for those who haven't watched it in years...

Yeah, I'd already drawn out the sketch, but he posted his first! They both have a very different focus and drawing style. His is kicking my shirt's butt. I created mine to relate more to the show as well as this week's theme... As usual, I was a bit late and I over-thunk it!

Re: Inspired By Mythbusters

Funny idea, but it's WAY too big (and pink/purple) on the shirt. All the votes this is getting would never equal sales. This design needs to be about 1/4 the size it currently is to even be close to wearable.

This would also make a great design for the old saying, "You'll catch your death." I would guess most random passersby would get a chuckle out of the shirt for that reason.

If this doesn't make it to print, is it in bad taste or taboo to submit it to another t-shirt site in a couple weeks?

I agree. It's a beautiful design. would love to wear it if it had a different placement. But the bottom of shirts just bunch up around my waist and it would look like I have a plain blue shirt on.

They're all in the same exact position and none of them look like they're walking, they look like they're posing. You just slapped lightning and halftones next to more poorly drawn beady eyed animals.
