Resubmitted mine in a different color. I have tons of heather gray shirts so I just tried a color I would never use. Guess I shouldn't have because I didn't get any positive responses about the color from friends or on here....

Regardless of me not knowing the background of the bird species and all the details you mentioned, I got the reference immediately! This is really funny... especially the expressions on the male birds. And I love that they aren't "cartoony"

Nice design...Consider using a woot psd template for your designs and add a little spunk to the background of you comp..You will get more votes then..

Aww, man! Dang it. I really didn't want to have to buy more shirts from this site, but now that this is here, I may have to. I can't decide if I want this to win or not, now.

Oh well. Gotta go download some discographies.

I have to say I don't really understand it. I love the concept, but man, that is one creepy looking bird (he almost looks like he's melting). I don't understand why there are notes all over the stand and on the floor. But hey, it's very Edgar-y which I can dig.

That certainly was a pretty overwhelming anti ram movement! I'm also in agreement that I liked it better without the ram. I'll keep an eye out for hopefully a resub ^_^

I love the design, I think I might like it more just slightly smaller. Not a lot, 'cause I'd want it visible, but it seems to go down the shirt awfully far.

I still like it, though, so I think you've got my vote.

I think I have that stigma only because I know how mp3 as a format, dumbs down the quality of music overall and I associate the iPod (& other mp3 players) with that; as opposed to say, vinyl. Sorry. But again, with your explanation, I can totally dig where you're coming from. However, it still won't get my vote. I actually feel (dare i say) guilty for not voting because that is my only critique of the design and I always love everything else you do! So while I feel I should support you, I can't vote for something I'm not 100% for. If only it were plugged into something else...

Female zebra finches don't have cheek patches...

The way that it's drawn, as well as the fact that there's a hand coming out of the horn (or whatever you call that thing), with a bird on his figure reminds me of monty python. I like the detail work on the bird.

Very wearable. I like this one a lot.

I agree with SydneyB, but more than the lines, what I don't like are that:
1. the notes seem to be random. At first I thought you were going to have a measure of 3 blind mice, but unless I'm forgetting part of the song, that's not it. I could quickly get over this part, because I know it's supposed to be a pied piper thing, not 3 blind mice, but I still stumble over #2:
2. You've got 3.5 beats up there. Just feels like if you're going with that many, there should be a full 4 beat measure. (I suppose it's also a bit odd that most are single eighth notes, and only 2 are linked together. But that didn't really bother me.)

I really like the art part of it, it's just the musical notation part that lacks for me.

While this shirt should have been on topic in the first place, I don't particularly like your addition to make it more on topic. Why wouldn't he just be listening to the music via his computer? I think it would be a lot better if you had a CD burner and a stack of cds on the desk (although I can see how that would clutter the picture).

So is he supposed to be dead, or undead? At first glance I figured he was undead, being as he has a parrot on his shoulder and is listening to music and everything, but after thinking about it I remember seeing an awful lot of news articles lately that are talking about how more and more people are dying in front of their computers while playing WOW or chatting in chat rooms. I wasn't sure if you were trying to show that or not. :/

Anyways, nicely done. I've almost always been impressed with your use of halftones.

It'd be ten times more wearable for those of us who don't like sporting cutsie stuff but can appreciate a decent design if the skeleton were less.... "chibi" ..... maybe that's just me. I'd buy it if it weren't for that fact.
