Please leave a comment if you have and idea of how it could be better/like it.

Thanks!

Clever idea. The mustard stream is hard to see on the shirt color you picked. I like the sketchy style. Something about the BBQ doesn't work for me though. Maybe because it's in the distance the lines could have been a little smaller to help show the depth compared to the escaping weenie.

You submitted so late though (foolish!). Promise you'll do something with this design in 60 days and let me know when you do?

I know, I know! Tuesday submissions aren't usually winners...but I didn't finish this until this morning. I will most certainly refine this and put it up elsewhere! Though I'm not sure where...

So aren't the history lessons a little over-the-top? Yes, It's a Korean/Japanese/Chinese/Asian style dragon. Yes, it's Japanese Kanji on the apron. While we're at it, lets make that a German Bratwurst just for the sake of it... And he's referencing Mongolia, and he's selling to primarily Americans!!!111oneoneone
Now his shirt is somewhat multicultural. wow.

Thank you for trying to teach the world a lesson based on a witty shirt title and design, but really. I just want to wear the damn thing.

baking epic post right there.
i noticed the oddities and DID NOT CARE.
nor will i care when my kid wears this to school where there are alot of kids that can READ it. they will enjoy his epic sausage anyway.

Is there a link somewhere that is like, some kind of massive list of everything that's okay and everything that's not-so-okay to do in the derby? And where can I get a shirt template on which to put any design I might decide to create?

Re: S'moregyle

I'm always a fan of patterns more than words or silly cartoon punchlines. While argyle is out of style, s'mores never are. I would love to wear this to the beach this summer. Maybe in a lighter brown, though (hint hint).

Very cute. I like the eyes poking through the shirt in the background.
The deer's being all dainty as she pours gas on the wood, lol.
Is that graph/checkered pattern in the animals and on the log on purpose?

suse wrote:It looks like you have nothing nice to say about *any* of the entries! Seriously!

I am all for mean and critical posts; what I have a problem with is that he often does not say anything of substance that can be debated. Also, I notice he is simply repeating the same criticisms he has posted previous weeks towards the same artist, and still employing his hit-and-run/sniping tactic and ignoring responses.

Sure, he said he did not get the Dr. Seuss reference, but that was just a launching point for his predictable run-of-the-mill attack: the artist wins due to personality, not due to talent, and the design embrangles because I say so. Finally, going back to him not getting the Dr. Seuss reference, his ignorance of popular/classic children's literature is hardly a point against the artist.

Lol, sigh, buffalo wings. I couldn't figure it out. I think the hunter threw me off. I'd replace him with something more food oriented. But, maybe I'm the only slow one. Great design and idea in any case.

see, that's your problem right there. You have to have a 'situation' to wear the shirt. Just wear the shirt! Anytime! Ridiculous. It's doesn't matter when you wear a shirt (any shirt, not just this one), where you wear the shirt, you just wear it cause you like it. If you have to have a situation to wear a shirt, do you just wear it once then toss it or something?

I LOVE this shirt, got it right away. It's hilarious. My friends will really love it. They always want to see what my shirts say. I can't believe this fell out of the fog. This is the only shirt I want in that's in the top 10 or so.

I don't really understand why some people harp on illustrations on shirts. As long as they are easy to understand or provide some sort of aesthetic quality that people like, what's the problem?

Wow, thanks for the mention TGentry! I'm quite flattered that you liked my shirt. While I certainly side heavily on the "graphic" side in terms of shirt preference, I also have a great appreciation for the illustration skills of so many on this site (skills that I don't share), and I would certainly wear an illustration shirt if its the right one. I believe there is a place for each.
