Luckily, these kinds of jerk moves almost never happen.

Emphasis needed on that word alone. I had a reject happen when someone actually mimicked a design I did, then uploaded it to CP AFTER I entered the derby with it.

I'd love to see one poking fun of post-rock band names. Off the top of my head, you could run a few together, like "And So I Watch 65Explosions.in.the.Desert" (And So I Watch You From Afar + 65daysofstatic + Explosions in the Sky + You.May.Die.in.the.Desert)

Other fun *real* band names: Genghis Tron, AndyDickTracyMorganFreeman, UpCDownCLeftCRightC+ABC+Start, The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza, The Samuel Jackson Five, The Pirate Ship Quintet, Collections of Colonies of Bees, Another Electronic Musician, Miasma & The Carousel of Headless Horses, Yesterdays New Quintet, iLiKETRAiNS, The HMS Welding Accident, The Gerogerigegege, Flies Are Spies From Hell, Holy apple strudel, That baking Tank

I could go on, if it's helpful for anyone.

My husband has been asking for another shirt like Big G for a long time. I wanted him to wear it to the Genghis Khan exhibit at our science museum, but he forgot.

I would really love shirts from any of these World Tours:

    Jason and the Argonauts
    Attila the Mom
    Orion's Belt
    The Canopic Jars
Gotham City and the Caped Crusaders
    Caesar and the Scheming Senators
    Goldilocks and the 3 Bears
    The Wonders of the World

When I was working at Guitar Center some of the guys demystified the "why we pick horrible looking logo/text". Apparently, it's not just because someone it really bad at design. They actually look for that stuff. Apparently for certain genres and bands they consider it "tradition" because it's hard to read and more "artistic" they said. :/

Does anyone know the smallest point size of a line made in Illustrator that Woot will not reject for being unprintable?

Here's a rough doodle for "Sad Koalas".
According to the 2 references it's not a band name in use. Yes, I wanted to do pandas, but that name exists.

Going to add color and a logo obviously.
Thanks guys.

Another possible name: "Krying Koalas"!!! After a quick (but light) check it does not appear taken.

TWO Points?? Argh. I hate that I design with a "toothpick", as one of my profs once told me.

I hate using lines bigger than .75 pt

Ok I can't draw, so I thought I'd just babble out word vomit till someone might like my ideas since that's the closest I have to a creative outlet. I also can't sing so I like to make up fake band names and be stupid with my friends... make that friend... or cats

color blind duck
Word vomit
water-cooler gangsta (you know who you are)
engiNerd
Shake 'N Fake Bake (for all those super tan club trolls)
Santa's Assassin
non-opposable thumbs
Color def and tone blind
antidisestablishmentarianism simplified
Incessant portal of Disco or ipod
bendi-straw beatdown
Couger catchers (also known as the jonas brothers)
midwife mayham
hotta than a poptart
Satan's satin pillowcase (girly death metal anyone?)
Panic! at the Rollerderby
Romeo and that other not so famous chick
Four O'clock flash where are you... good band name but also what I really need
prince valium
pill-popping preteens
Botox buggaloo
crazy catladies

ok now I'm just crazy.

Seriously if anyone uses one of my ideas though I'll buy three shirts and give them to my cats to wear and pimp for you.

Disclaimer ( I have not checked these names I just needed to blow an hour at work babbling seems to help)

Can someone clarify the rules on how close a name can be without being rejected? I wanted to use the name "Face Card" but there is a small obscure band named "Face Cards." Is the lack of an "s" enough to make the name okay?

Hmmm, I don't think that'll fly. There's no vast difference in meaning with or without the S. You can try to sneak by with a crazy spelling? Fasc Kard... I dunno.

OH no no no, my internet friend. You have no CLUE how small you can make lines.

I designed this thing using lines as small as .001.

I don't even know if you can see them, to be honest. Lawl.

Looking back, I forgot to cross one A, and I think I forgot where the W and G went. So I guess I can barely read it, and I made the thing. The sad fact is that it's *still* more legible than some metal band's logos floating around out there...

So, I've got an idea nailed down and I've started inking. Obviously I'm a retro fan, but surprisingly I've never attempted to go *this* retro before. I'm gettin' rubber band on y'all.

Ugh, only 4 more band members to go. Should be easy to "color" at least.
