It means that if they printed it, they would be sued for copyright infringement and they would have no case for parody.

Nerd best. thing. ever.?

Firefly was a TV show set in space I believe. . . I still have yet to watch it.

"'Your friends... What kind of people are they? I wonder... Do those people... think of you... as a friend?
'You... What makes you happy? I wonder... What makes you happy... Does it make... others happy, too?
'The right thing... What is it? I wonder... If you do the right thing... Does it really make... everybody... happy?
'Your true face... What kind of face is it? I wonder... The face under the mask... Is that... your true face?'"

Re: Pigs In Starfleet

Everyone knows The Next Generation is far superior to the original series. :d I wonder though why Uhura doesn't have black hair as a pig, unless it was a reference to Ms.Piggy instead with the blonde hair? And who is on the left? I can't remember who - if anyone - has glasses in the series. Not Bones, but the pig is in blue...so...who?

Anyways nice work! Can't say I'd wear it though because I don't really like the original series, and thus can't support it through my apparel. I do like the idea though, so you get props for a humorous design. :D

Indeed I'm with you there. I just had a major nerd moment typing that same thought while you must've been doing the same.

*righteous high five for being another TNG fan*

Raikus wrote:There aren't different levels of parody. It's either parody or not parody. If the defense for using copyrighted works is parody, then it's an all or nothing proposal. Again, consistency hasn't been a strong point around here, but I'm speaking of the way things should be, not are.

This is a mixing of two elements and putting them in the same situation. Same as the Chewey/Tribbles shirt. And while I have no involvement in either shirt, and wish neither to get rejected, I can't fathom why someone would say that this design should be rejected and the others should remain.

Chewey got the Axe with the "I dont think we can get away with this" still trying to figure out if it wasn't parody enough :/

Agreed, if I get shown one more shirt that's "good" because there are penguins, kittehs, or bunnies I'm gonna personally drive to Woot headquarters and choke someone and then find out who is voting for the apcray (and not buying the shirt) and choke them.

Rubber? All the birdies I've ever played with use cork. I don't see rubber working very well.
