This was robbed the first time, but will hopefully see print this go-round.

Still, the only part of the design that bugs me a little is the fact that the woman's skirt seems to melt into the steam in places.

The dragon itself is nicely done, but I can't bring myself to vote for this one. Cannot help but think that the white 'steam' on heather grey is going to end up looking more like someone spilled splashes of bleach all over the shirt.

I really enjoy this design. I always have, and I ,too, love the orange on the red. It makes me wonder how it would print, though, since the colors are so close to each other. I I wonder if the orange would kind of get lost in the red, since colors tend to print darker than they show up on screen. For the most part. Hm.

So I own all the concept art books for each Disney/Pixar movie, and this style reminds me of how the entirety of "Finding Nemo" was initially sketched out, ESPECIALLY the creative process for the Dory speaking whale scene. It just.....never fails to make me think of that book.
