A good why to fix chicken is because it is delicious.

A good way to fix chicken is to take it to the vet. Or better yet, don't break the chicken in the first place.

Or, um... chicken kiev?

MadamAtom wrote:I don't know enough about the tech to say why this could be happening, but it seems to be happening to an awful lot of people this week. That suggests to me that maybe it is something on the Woot end that's going wrong.

But again: not a tech-head, so take that with a grain of salt. Or silicon, maybe, in this case.

That's a good point. However, none of the derby regulars have had any problems; it looks like all the skewed entries are from new participants. Maybe there was something weird with the special bag template file they provided that newbies neglected to adjust. I haven't downloaded it myself, but maybe I'll take a look tonight...

I'd love getting a shirt in a bag like this one! The current one is a bit busy.

cernenus wrote:You stretched the mark. The official woot princesses will Bobo-style to kiss this frog, and end up rejecting it. Might as well get started now on a resubmit where the official woot 'mark' is not stretched.

(Why can't people read the rules? just amazed at all the rejections as a result of simply failing to understand basic english, or apparently noteven reading the rules.)

Well, the full submish isn't stretched, unfortunately the squarness of the display graphic did smush my rectangualar presentation a bit. I will make sure to compensate next time by cropping the display icon down to a square before I submit...but thanks for calling me illiterate. That was classy.

I'm also confused to what that black shape in the corner is. Someone said alligator - I thought it was a hand making bunny ears, which didn't make sense, at least not to me;)

I think it's a hand making a peace sign, although the alligator and bunny ears suggestions made me laugh.

You mean for shirts? At the bottom of every page there is a column titled "Artist Resources". If you click on "Submit a Derby Entry" you'll get to the upload page. The sidebar has links to various templates. There are many real shirt (photo) templates floating around online that could be used as well. Check out the links in my signature for derby tips, including links to some of those templates.

If the templates on the submission page are for bags, then I guess you'll have to wait until the bag derby is over and they set it back to normal.

I think the real question is : Has there ever been a person to take a chicken to the vet to get it fixed? Remember to spay and neuter your feathered friends!

As my fiancee and I were scanning through the Derby entries, I was saying to him, "Oh... none of these entries really appeal to me. I mean, they're not really th- OH MY GOD!!! O_O JUST LOOK AT THAT DESIGN!!! THOSE OWLS!! THOSE EYES!! SO CLEVER..... AHHHHHHHHHH!!! I WANT ONE!!!!"

So yeah. I wish they could make this into a shirt - it's AMAZING! ^_^

The point is to do an illustration that brings attention to the logo, not place it somewhere just as an afterthought.

lol that was my brother's account, I use multiple browser, and he once used his account on my computer, and I didn' know that it's his account. anyhow, he's my +1 voters. lol of course, he has no freedom to decide whatever he likes!!!

I agree with all you guys comments. The point of logo is not to mislead the viewers to false logotypes. anyways, I thought it's kinda too late to reupload the stuff.
thank you for all your comments!!!

Hmm... well I checked out the bag template. The resolution isn't square. My best guess is that people forgot to resize it appropriately themselves and submitted it at the resolution of the template file.

This would be my joke-ish offering for those who jest, joust and jockey for position on competition sites such as shirt.woot for instance( I clipped the elements for my sub from a much more complicated design, one that I'd produced abour 4 years ago for a similar competition, which had very much the same message ). Kinda like social commentary, if ya'll get my drift and not to be taken too seriously..;]
