Wha? Are you trying to say that a shirt that was just reckoned Monday and a shirt that is still available shouldn't be granted "classic" status and an immediate reprint? ;)

Hey, I'd love to see Cool Breeze again.

I joined woot just in time to hesitate and see my chances vanish before me. If this gets reduxed perhaps I'll be able to sleep at night!

Though, perhaps a slight remix would be better. I think I'd like to see the design moved towards the left shoulder slightly.

FLY THE FURRY SKIES!

Definitely my favorite Woot shirt that I own, and my friends' favorite as well. I think I'd recommend them to get it, haha.

If they're gonna remix cool breeze they should do colors that show up. There was a whole thread on the color issues with that shirt and people attempting to bleach/dye their shirts to get the design to show up. Now woot HAS gotten better at the black on brown printing, so MAYBE a second run of this would look ok.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/classic
Ummmm... nope, I think not... although you may be if you're thinking it refers to two or three year old designs.

–adjective
1. of the first or highest quality, class, or rank: a classic piece of work.
2. serving as a standard, model, or guide: the classic method of teaching arithmetic.
3. of or pertaining to Greek and Roman antiquity, esp. with reference to literature and art.
15. an artist or artistic production considered a standard.
18. an article, as of clothing, unchanging in style: Her suit was a simple classic.

Given woot's meaning of classic, though, that doesn't matter. Just like woot's PG-13 is not the MPAA's definition. A shirt that is less than a year reckoned may be "classic", but not by this term. Cake is already a classic, but shouldn't be sold for $20 the week it's reckoned.

Though given your list, people still don't understand the definition. Plan B, for example, is not highest quality, doesn't serve as a standard for anything but low-quality concept with clipart, is certainly not roman or greek, and doesn't have enough style to be unchanging in it (unless you argue that it is unchanging in style because it's the same graphic, in which case every shirt is a classic).

I'd definitely pick this shirt up for $15, but $20 is excessive. As others have already mentioned, the appeal of shirt.woot is the prices. Maybe the deal could be $20, but $15 for those who buy a shirt in the same week as the classic Woot shirt? That would encourage people to buy more and make it a more reasonable price.

Is it at all possible that maybe shirt.woot didn't come up with this idea to appeal to the same people?

If the appeal of woot is cheap prices to you, oops, better buy your shirt the first time!

Of the three, Summer to Fall was the only one I'd even consider $20 for. And even then I think it needs some colour tweaking. And still it might not be worth a whole $20

Actually, that's true even of the other three fall shirts that came the following year

And that's my whole point... what may seem as the "best of" for some people might not be for another. Anyone can choose to use a given design as a model or a guide therefore woot's decision of letting wooters suggest what should be considered a classic for reprint.

but i think the point spastic was trying to make was that people were clamoring for shirts reckoned mere months ago.

For a two-year-old site, one would expect said shirts to not quite have reached "classic" status yet, good, bad, or ugly.

you can't see the maple leaf on the 'ground' and it isn't the cleanest print because the artist didn't outline anything that I can tell. we got this in a randoms and from more than 5 feet it just looks like an olive green tee with a vaguely tree branch thing across the boobs.

Psh. Months. What got me was that someone requested a shirt that was just reckoned a week ago, and someone else requested Fat Unicorn - which is still for sale! *major eye roll*

For better or worse, all shirts are designed for and look best on thin males or very flat-chested women.

Driving to Work, in white on black. Or something. Or black on bisque, perhaps, although that sounds like "on a bed of cabbage", even though bisque isn't a cabbage.

Also: Mental Notes, Decomposition.

I want none of the fall shirts from last year (I might be saying the same thing with this year as well). I can't see Summer to Fall getting new life breathed into it, but I could be wrong. I think that design suffers a bit more from just a poor color combo and shirt choice. Then again, I was interested in Autumn Breeze forever and then as I thought about it, I just couldn't see myself wearing it either...

I bought Autumn Breeze back when it originally came out ... I liked it, but found myself not wearing it much, as the placement just didn't work for me. Sold it recently via teetrade, as I needed the extra cash more than a spare shirt!

I can't see myself ever dropping $20 for a T-Shirt, so I'm not sure I'm entitled to voice an opinion here, but these are some of the "classic" shirts I think would be deserving of a re-print. (Some I already own & love, some I missed my chance on, and some I think are just bloody good shirts, my own personal wardrobe choices aside.)

This Here's My Unicorn Huntin' Gun
BreakfasTopo
Bats!
Avocado Man
Unatomy
The Thing That Scoots
Seraphim
Killer Bees
T4
Cat Carrier

There are other more recent shirts I could add to the list, but not sure they'd qualify yet as being a "classic".

I own over half of them, you unenlightened cretin!

In all honesty, yours is so far the longest list (besides my own, obviously) to remain respectable.

If you really want a cat carrier, tho, I think Robert has it up for support at Cameesa. He took the truncated contract which gave him the rights back, and I think it's somewhere 'round there for support. A little bit cheaper than $20 that way.

Won't be happening unfortunately. Classic reprints further clarifies how stupid I was to keep the rights to Cat Carrier. It's available for support on Cameesa but has stalled in recent months.

If Woot really wanted it they could buy it from me....
