doctorcosmonaut wrote:How do you buy this shirt? ... Or any of these shirts?

Only the three designs with the most votes at the end of the derby get printed, so the best way to get a shirt that you want is by voting for it (and convincing other people to vote as well)!

I've never bought a shirt from woot cause I just got my first job and opened my bank account and got my debit card, but I really hope this makes it, cause I'd buy it hands down.

Now this is a winner... you people are ridiculous. its a great design. leave it there. im sure someone in japan knows what a spork is so theres how it relates.

It's really beautiful... But it's almost impossible to see/make out the drawing

I guess you were limited to color choice, but the crane doesn't really show :S

Cool design, but personally, I think the design should cross the shirt, rather than going straight down the center.

A different take on the Japanese Tanuki. Japanese text says "Large Nuts".

So because someone in Japan knows what a spork is, this is Japanese?!?!

Sorry artists. I can't not say anything to people like this who try, pathetically, to defend the shirt.

倧奜き = I love

愛 is also love, but it is a noun

私 is a form of "I" but you're missing the right part of the kanji :\

韍 is dragon (chinese style)....... >_> ...

Well his last character can be used in the word lantern but he left off the first character piece of the two character word for it that actually means lantern. The last part is more cage or box in meaning. As for you Chinese comment all Kanji is "Chinese style" since they are borrowed Chinese characters.

I also like the simplicity of the shirt; however, instead of a white shirt you should have done exactly what you did in the preview. I think it would have been a lot nicer on an asphalt shirt with the border you have around it in the close up.

Wasn't this idea already done in the architecture derby? Or maybe it was your design and this is just a new interpretation?

okay...there isn't any King Kong in your idea and they are knocking it down instead of building it up in this one, so it's probably different enough. ???

What software are you using? There are some free open source programs you can download, if you want to give them a try.

Inkscape is what I would recommend. It is an open source (free) vector based program (no pixels), which resembles Adobe Illustrator.
www.inkscape.org

Gimp is also available at no cost. It is a raster based program (pixels), which resembles Adobe Photoshop.
www.gimp.org

Neither is as good as the Adobe version, but both are worlds better than anything else you are going to find for free.

It is definitely boxy. Do you think removing the white would make it look better? My original plan was to have to cut a portion of the flag off along the top and bottom, and have the design be more of a band across the middle, as opposed to the box it is now.
