Why NOT delay voting? Comments can still happen as soon as a design is posted, so there can be the back-and-forth of feedback and response/resub, and of course, all manner of lively debate. Just start recording votes once submissions are closed (or near-closed).
Or (whatev)versely, maybe harsh, shorten the submission period? Historically, how many subs made after Monday end up in the fog anyway?
