I do hope you're posting this hypothetically, and this isn't what you really think.

It implies that everyone who might agree with Adder are all minions who simply parrot him and by no means have arrived at their opinions on their own. One would have to be hopelessly narrow minded to think that way.

I think Adder's a girl... And judging by her comments, an ugly one.

Well, seeing as this community DOES look out for its artists like a hawk, I thought it was laughable that people actually started taking this nonsense seriously. I mean, c'mon. No one would EVER get away with something like this on Woot. I knew it was only a matter of time until it got the hack, so why be in an uproar about it?

Oh, and if it was MY design, I'd probably be a bit flattered because I KNOW this person is not going to earn money from my design! Get a good laugh. The fact that some of you are taking this so gravely seriously is hilarious.

It seems like if it's computer mice, then it should be mice forming the shape of a computer or a real mouse attached to a computer or something to that affect. This just leaves me scratching my head thinking it's less of a pun and more of a monster from Frankenstein sort of thing, with pieces just mashed together in hopes of something coming alive.

The pun is on the word mouse. It is both a device that is attached to your computer and a small animal.

You're right that no one calls them computer mice.. because no one really does. They call it a mouse.

That's awesome. Thanks and welcome to woot. You have to have purchased something from one of the woot sites to be able to vote on shirts. If you want to help, then quick! Go buy something and vote! Or, you could just start praying for this one to make it. That would be ok too.

Yeah, I showed it to a friend and we decided that the "likeness" isn't very much of one in the end. I mean, that could be a Thompson Twin, or A, from A-Ha (can you believe they broke up?!), or even Johnny from Johnny Hates Jazz, right?

Or someone else I've never listened to...

Anyhow, score one for my... umm... skills.

And I'm sure the Tardis is the right size (thatz what she said). Some spacetime mishap has simply split the Doctor into four of his earlier incarnations. Conservation of mass and such.

Outside of her artwork, which is always uncompromisingly her own, this is why I'm a fan of Das Boot--she brings teh lulz. Doesn't matter how heated the topic gets. I remember quite a few occasions of my engaging in this site's sparkling brand of t-shirt drama when she was probably the only poster in a given thread that I didn't want to punch in the face

My boyfriend and I are both in the games industry, and we've both pulled overnighters during crunch. This is sort of the same, but it goes to show you, sometimes you just dont get the time you want to create something "amazing". You get the time you're alotted and that's it, you do your best.

This may be m(w)oot issue to have among browsers, customers, and contributors, not open to actual modification or debate, but...

Why NOT delay voting? Comments can still happen as soon as a design is posted, so there can be the back-and-forth of feedback and response/resub, and of course, all manner of lively debate. Just start recording votes once submissions are closed (or near-closed).

Or (whatev)versely, maybe harsh, shorten the submission period? Historically, how many subs made after Monday end up in the fog anyway?

You think of it as a computer mouse because in theory you're only using one at a time. But if you needed to buy a half-dozen for your office, would you say "I need six computer mouses" or would you say "I need six computer mice"?

To be honest, I've heard it both ways, but in terms of the design, it probably doesn't matter. It's not like they're computer hamsters, which would make no sense at all.

HalfWheat wrote:Hmmm...and I thought the phrase "lemon law" got popular when the law went into effect.

I was really confused by the thought that the phrase had become popular via a television show... since The law has been on the books a bit longer. I have heard many people refer to vehicles as lemons. In fact, I drove a lemon of a car for approximately 6000 crummy, in the shop constantly, always broken down, miles. And I referred to that as a lemon. And it was before 'How I Met Your Mother' was on TV.
(the 'lemon law' was enacted in 1975- for some trivia).

Oh well, I'm glad that people learn things from somewhere. Even if it's from 'How I Met Your Mother'.

Well, if you want a non-bodily-fluid pun, there's one that's pretty safe that hasn't been used to full effect. Somewhere up above someone spelled "whales" as "wales" So you could make some comment about the whales being from Wales.

Always happy to lend a pun to a friend in knead.
