However I think those pesky copyright issues are going to get in the way. Maybe change Coke to Cola and Mentos to...Mentoes? Menthos? Mint-O's? Something that isn't branded already. >_>

Aww thank you! I'm glad you like it. I wanted to do something a little unusual, so this is what appeared ^^. I love traditional asian dragons.

Thanks.. this was only a partial of the full composition I was planning (a few more bats in the background in various states of balloon-related distress, and some clouds), but was running low on time.
Heh... and floating-off-in-nothing is exactly what it's supposed to look like. Why it's off-center. ;)

Oh, dear friendly neighbor from the North, I direct you to the historical archives of the shirt derby, way back to derby #15: time travel souvenirs.

You will see that in that week I managed to pull a Marty McFly and return with my winning entry from future derby #387: six packs, with the following triumphant entry:



If you do further research, you will note that at the time I lied about actually winning that derby and that I actually only came in second place. This was even more proof that I brought this back from the future, as at the time of derby #15, only the top vote getter was being published, and second and third place entries were not printed.

Clearly, my trip back from the year 2014 was no joke, as I bought this shirt that was a second place winner on Saturday, December 27, 2014, waited at my home for the smart post delivery, and came back to November 2007 to show everyone my triumphant souvenir from my time travel.

Inspired by my knowledge of my eventual victory in the future, I continue to enter the shirt derby.

Alert readers will also realize that with my obvious proof of eventual shirt derby victory, those who claim that 2012 will be the end of time are clearly proven wrong as well.

Wow... it took me much longer than I thought it would to get this joke... until I focused in on the word Noble. That's hilarious! Then it dawned on me... if I wear this shirt it would be a constant doppler effect of weird stares as people walk toward me then belated laughter after they're about 10 steps behind, i love it!

i wish people would just stop whining when people don't like their designs or trying find loop holes to try and get it rejected...

it's not a video game reference because it appeared in a video game post movie, that's just ignorant...

it is 100% different than the kid falling off the bike in comparison to crashing completely...

and the word FAIL is cancellation and i wouldn't buy it if it was on there...

i voted for this and I will buy it when it goes on sale

No problem! I'm sorry if I came off as being uptight. If you'd like some concrit, here goes:

Something about the perspective is bugging me. It might be that the lines in the actual illustration are on a slant while the outline is straight, but I dunno.

Also I think it might work better if the edges sort of faded out, instead of being a hard outline. Or alternatively, if you wanted to keep the edges hard, you could try make the illustration area more of a rectangle (panoramic aspect ratio blah blah, I'm scaffolding at getting technical terms across)

Lastly, for the type of illustration I'd probably use solid colors and/or cell shading. But that's just me.

I hope this helps ... I find it more than a little rude and not helpful at all when people just say a design is horrid, and offer no constructive criticism. All it does is tear the artist down and not inspire them to try and better their craft.

My only quibble here (besides the copyright issue) is that it's obvious stock vectors and images were used, and that they weren't cut out properly. You can still see some of the white background in the Coke bottles and the flames.

Otherwise I agree with the poster who said you might want to change the brand names to avoid getting rejected, and consider getting rid of the texture on the Mentos package since you did the same on the bottles.

I don't know, I still have a little bit of an issue with the obvious reference to a copyrighted property, but that's just me. It's a beautiful design and very funny though.

Why would it split the votes? It's not like you can only vote for one shirt. If you like both, vote for both. One version is picking up votes that he wouldn't have in the first place. I liked both and voted for both, I do prefer version 2 over version 1, but I would buy either one of them.
