heh, I know what you mean I'm always wondering if I chose the wrong thumbnail. Just to clarify - I don't think the red border was totally necessary, but you did pick the right part of the design - definitely attracted me!

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is possibly a creature and an ape-like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet. The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people indigenous to the region,[1] and are part of their history and mythology. Stories of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th century.

This makes absolutely no sense that a Yeti would be tossing penguins, as penguins are not part of the Himalayan region of Nepal or Tibet. A polar bear would fit here a lot better than a Yeti, and it also wouldn't reference a Video Game.

I'm going to have to disagree with the face, something about it makes me feel queasy. Maybe he looks too much like a vampire?
But other than that, it is really good. As a da Vinci fan, I quite enjoy it.

Maybe it's an albino bigfoot ;o) or perhaps I don't care because as far as this shirt being factual I'm going with the fact that penguins wearing clothes are right out.

I was thinking the same thing... I love cats, but this one looks a tad frightening with that mouth and only the canine teeth! Maybe that's why I have more sympathy for the robin too:D

Just out of curiosity, how many similar shirts must exist and be linked before a derby starts for someone to say "man, I should not submit this in hopes that woot will be inconsistent, because if they DO reject this, and all signs suggest they will, all I'll do is make people wonder why I submit an idea that has already been done to death"?

I was thinking the same thing. I love the design and I would hate to see it rejected, but I have to admit the first thing that came to mind was Yeti Sports. It would be a shame for such a great design go to waste, so a backup may be prudent.

This would probably be rejected if the reference were to a more popular video game. Not sure if woot is going to reject this but this is a clear reference to the video game, whether or not it was intentional.

Rglee, as I lok some more, from the thumbnail I noticed it looks like some lines/ fills are with a color pencil or china crayon or something like that... what program do you use to get that look? Or do you do your work partly with the real tools and scan it?

The style reaallly looks awesome. It's too bad one has to be so close up to really see it. Really great.

GMV, as I've a younger sister who is a rabid fan of anything featuring penguins. She loves the rest of the penguin woot shirts I've purchased for her (The Aviator, Imposter, and When Penguins Bribe Polar Bears), and I foresee myself picking up this design, Draxxx's, or both, by the end of the week as gifts for her.
