Re: Into the Wild

Damnit.

You had to go and put a brilliant design on a shirt. Thanks.

Re: Dodo Baron

Thanks for all the comments

As for it looking like the scene in Snoopy, yes, it does but it doesn't really break any copyright or anything like that. :]

I'm glad for the responses, specially by folks whose work I really enjoy, like walmazan. This is really nice to hear (read?)

What do you think those birds want? They could be dangerous.

Thanks justjiggles. Though I hope you like the shirt as well;)

What do they want? It could be your pumpkin seeds. Or, it could be your soul.

I love the drawing! It almost looks as if it's carved out of wood which is incredibly cool, and very fitting.

I did experiment with colors quite a bit (though mostly colors on a grass shirt). Out of curiosity, are there any colors in particular you had in mind, if I were try others?

I'm a fan of salmon and orange on maybe navy or cranberry, or perhaps the same greens on lemon or royal blue - or even violets on red or cranberry.
I do very much like the limited palette - It's more of a curiosity than a criticism as I wonder what it would look like with a bit more contrast.

Excellent art work Deadfrog, and the colors are really nice. This reminds me of the stage from the original Golden Axe.

Nice resub - the baby blue shirt really helps to put the image in a setting, as well as make the colors pop better.
Good luck!

This one's really good. I'd seriously try it somewhere else when the 60 days is up. Maybe it's just not woot-material (this could even be taken as a compliment).

Re: Bird Watchers REVERSED

I really love how this shirt turned out. I think you made some great design choices in it.
I love the simplistic feel to the illustration. I just really love everything about it.

My only question now is- do I buy one for me, or one for my son?.... or do I get one for each of us? :-)

To sum up: Wonderful!!

Well if one person has an idea, then another could have the same one. I've thought of many inventions only to find out that they have already been done.

yeah, she meant collisiontheory (also the110 at some sites), who has made a mint doing designs exactly like this, and has caused a number of people to try the same. he's someone who has admitted to not being an artist, which says a lot for people's reactions to his work.

It's just incredibly done to death. Not at woot, tho, which is odd, because Collision Theory is well known to own contests based solely on huge "vote power"... no one can mobilize people who won't buy shirts to vote for them like CollisionTheory, so he'd be plenty at home here.

Would you consider one minor revision? The shape of its beak resembles that of a parrot (or possibly some variety of finch) much more than any bird of prey I can identify.

Do not sully Edgar's design thread with such allusions. YOU HEAR ME?!! I don't care that you were complimenting Edgar. It was disrespectful and a comparison that invites people to call you out. It was INAPPROPRIATE and you need to CONTROL YOURSELF herein. I expect better of you.

You may now sit down and think hard about what you wrote whilst I frown VERY FIERCELY at you.
