Re: Big Jerk

I really like this on the gray, it looks like a cloudy sky. A nice contrast to the totally cute, chubby birdums. Nice work, as always Boots!

jasneko wrote:Thanks for your comments taninniver! Glad you like the style and form.

I did experiment with colors quite a bit (though mostly colors on a grass shirt). Out of curiosity, are there any colors in particular you had in mind, if I were try others?

I don't know what color taninniver had in mind, but I think yellows would also be a good palette for this. Love the green though, for sure!

It's a parody on a tv commercial from 40 years ago.

Re: The Keeper of Crimson Ghosts

Awesome styling as always, Drakxxx.
Glad you took out the drips, as well.
Something about the woman's face throws me off though - I think it might be her lips, as they come out to almost a point. There doesn't seem to be any definition or indent between the upper and lower lip. It looks a little strange, but it's not something I think anyone would notice with a glance at the shirt as it's worn.
Good luck this week!

Re: Happy BIRDay!

Wow, what a fantastic composition. The caterpillar even gets two hand expressions because of his extra arms! I don't know if I could wear it though, because I'm actually feeling very sorry for the poor worm and his friends right now. He's being eaten...on his birthday? With his friends there? They got him presents and cake! Poor little guy.

GMV.

I've wondered about that too.

I love the color choices here. Something about this design reminds me of pre-Columbian Mexican art.

Re: Happy BIRDay!

this looks just like the bears camping out and swapping stories about the scary forest rangers they encountered. this is seriously way too similar. the whole premise is the exact same, the way you have the characters set up is the exact same...needless to say i think you should come up with something super way more original

And on a side not, SERIOUSLY SLOW DOWN ON THE SUBMISSIONS Your making the rest of us look bad

No I get that, but the commercial has been used pretty consistently since then and may still air. Partially the problem is that the art seems too close to the originals and I don't know if just adding a gun is enough
