Re: Bicentennial

I like the design and color but not the placement. My first woot shirt has a low placement and half the design gets scrunched at the bottom. I'm afraid this would be just an old guy with a cupcake when being worn.

Looking between the two designs, it looks like the placement I have is a fair bit higher on the shirt, and also a good deal larger than the one you linked to, so hopefully it won't be an issue.
I chose a corner placement because the overall shape of the design seemed to work well with it.

mabey it won't be so bad. This design does look to have a couple of inches on that one.

Cutest bicentennial shirt I've seen :D
If it prints everyone in my department will want one.

Nice pun! Sadly, I don't think this would be considered "incidental text."

I dig it, but the text isn't incidental - this is likely to get rejected.

I'm still trying to figure out a style. For this one I went with an intentionally scratchy look.

I think the look works well for the cat, but not as well for the yarn ball.

Yep. Just random stuff that didn't survive. Mobsters, zombie fish, old cars etc.

Re: Swinetastic

Whoa - this is a creepy picture, but well done! The grungy look is very effective, and increases the creepiness. It almost gives the impression that people felt about the swine flu the same way they felt (feel?) about bio-weapons or nuclear fallout

(although I don't feel they are on the same scale, i certainly feel the reaction to swine flu seemed to be along that magnitude)

Hilarious. I'd consider buying this just because it's a much better take on the topic than any I've seen.

Re: Bicentennial

Brilliant. I'd definitely buy one. I'm not sure if I like the placement... I'd love it if you'd resubmit it centered.

It would be too much, but it'd be cool to have some of his finches on there.

Ya, that's a great example. If I can I'll resub tonight. But I'll more than likely be on the road.

Re: I give up . . .

The sun seems to be too big for the rest of the design... I would suggest shrinking the sun, and then moving the whole placement a little higher on the shirt

Though, if you want to keep the sun so large, you probably should shrink the whole design. The details of the bear will be a little harder to see, but it's just too big for the shirt right now

Very cool.

You know, looking around at the number of entries, this seemed like an incredibly hard theme.

I'm happy that there are some more upbeat shirts in the bunch.

bwa ha ha ha

and here I thought it was a commentary on the swine flu! ;)

This works surprisingly well on orange, and I like the size too! The style of art isn't my favorite, but it's pretty distinctive and I think it's well done anyway

Oh this is awesome! Great job on making a really iconic and fun design. :D

I'm super sorry about the other one, it was also really cool. I only remembered the similar shirt because I was so close to buying it myself at a show. Ideaspace seems to get smaller and smaller every day.

Poor Mr. Swayze. His days of roundhouse kicking and tearing the throats out of those who threaten the tranquility of the Double Deuce are over.

Really great idea!

It would be interesting to see a version where he's holding a half coconut shell over his head, instead of holding various shop tools... the shell could be done in the same mottled way as the 'pus to give it texture... maybe a brown and a tan?

This is beautiful. That's all I can say. It's rare that a tshirt design makes me stop and just stare, but this is one of them. Sooo lovely and sublte, and it makes me get misty eyed.

I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the news about MJ. I listen to the news as I work during the day so I was hearing it from the start. I had drive to pick up my friend and when it was confirmed via radio, I just cried in traffic.

This is super, super awesome.

Video is from 1984, so I suspect the cat died rather before this year. But it became a meme in 2009, so I don't see a problem with the theme.
