Excellent shirt, a sellout for shizzle! Congrats to the artist on getting paid and printed. A worthy illustration.

I just don't get all these star trek references .

I can't afford one right now, but hopefully this will stay in reckoning long enough till I get paid again. But I am curious, I've seen derby shirts get rejected for farther off resembelances. Not that I'm complaining, I want this one :D

If you keep an open mind, is there a chance your brain might fall out?

Hey ninthWHEEL,

Great job! It's awesome! And, the writer did a great job with the description too!

How about doing one of Yoda as a kid trying to get a shirt on and his head gets stuck? That would be awesome too!

I wonder if Woot is trying to send a message that George Lucas doesn't scare them (in response to all of the speculation about Friday's shirt)

Holy scaffolding. That song parody is pure genius. I'm totally stealing it and not giving woot credit for it.

I'd probably get it if I didn't already have the HOPE/TRAP shirt.
Yeah. I got it from TeeFury.

I -definately- do not need two Ackbar shirts, though, nor do I feel the need to stockpile reference shirts for the lulz. So I'll pass today, woot.

Nice art, though.

AdderXYU wrote:basically. except at woot, the voters are the ones who bring in the trash.

The tragedy is that this really is "good of type". It's way better than any star wars shirt TF has done, and it goes without saying that it stomps the pile of trash woot'll allow to print this weekend. But it's a little like in Wooster and Jeeves, when there's the vocal recital and everyone sings "Sonny Boy." It doesn't matter that the final singer is an operatic virtuoso... it's simply overdone, and the crowd reacts as such.

NERRRRDSS!!!!

No, this is shirt.woot's way of saying they're not going to reject certain scaffolding from the current derby even though they've rejected Star Wars inspired (and other licensed properties inspired) shirts before.

The enemy's gate is down.

What does "Condition: Helpless" mean? It's probably part of the overall joke, but I wanted to be sure that this is actually a new shirt. I'm new to the shirt side of woot. Thanks.

shirt.woot doesn't work exactly like woot . . . come back tomorrow and spend your life's savings plus fifty percent to get one.

Very crafty of woot puttings this up during the wootoff . . . with my schedule, I had no chance at the regular price.

Reminds me of ST:TNG when Data gets his fingers stuck in one of those. And then they send a whole box to the Ferengi. How very original to give one to Akbar. And it sold out? Will wonders never cease?

I prefer the teextile one.

Assuming it meets the standards of "parody," it is ok to use the image under the fair use doctrine. Whether or not is is parody is the question.

I'll send you my "To Kill" list. If you take care of one or two of the people on it I promise I'll talk to Woot and see if they can get this shirt back up for sale tomorrow. They might end up charging an extra... oh, I dunno, $5, but I think for a homicide or two they'll help us out.
