Re: Owner of a Lonely Heart

Also, for those who wonder...yes indeed, the design title is inspired by the song, 'Owner of a Lonely Heart', by the band Yes. video

And, the shirt is brown.(Not sure why, but apparently it also looks olive on some screens).

Thanks for looking and voting!

Re: Broken Heart on Sleeve

I count at least 7 colors, and the limit is 6.

This fits the theme, but I can't picture anyone here wearing this.

Re: Heart Beats

I actually like this shirt and would wear it.

But... (1)The idea is not fresh, it's obvious. And (2) with about a dozen shirts rejected in this contest for gradients, tell me how that drum set gets through. If I count all of the shades in this picture, I come up with more than 6 colors. I think it would be hard to reproduce exactly as seen here.

I would, it is better than some pipes that are somehow fits into the theme. This is a cute shirt. And well done. GMV

Re: Total Eclipse of the Heart

I think this entire derby was designed to get songs from the 80s stuck in my head. I saw this design this morning, and have been singing the darn song all day. (which, in my job, did lead to some rather interesting moments)

Definitely has my vote, and I would enjoy wearing this- both because I like it and because I would enjoy hearing others find themselves asking me to 'turn around, Bright Eyes'.

Re: Steam Heart

Just saw the larger image of this design on your blog, and I have to congratulate on the quality of your illustration. Even though this is not the kind of t-shirt I would wear, your linework and coloring is brilliant and it´s fantastic what you´ve done with just six colors.

I would wear this shirt! I love the Clark Kent underdog type who really is a superhero! (Look what a nice guy he is, he even has flowers!)

maybe i should have made that viagra reference more obvious but i wasn't sure whether that would have been a reason to tattle on this... i asked several people what they think of this, and most neither got the red pill / blue pill nor the viagra reference :-/

Re: Revenge Of The Chickens: Quest For The Heart

I like it, but would have liked to seen his heart meter empty...as in a dead Link. If he isn't dead at least half a heart left.

I like the heart meter, but think it needs to be placed somewhere else. I was thinking at the top right, but don't think that will work either. The heart meter is great, if you could use text you could really flesh out the game feel to it.

Either way I would want one.

Re: Broken Heart on Sleeve

I have no problem with the guy. I just have a hard time with the women being so vicious - wouldn't want to be indentified with them.

But the color limit is still a problem. You should consider resubmitting this with some of the colors changed. Since it is close to the end of the derby, this may not get rejected, but keep this in mind for future submissions.
