I'm fairly sure the change is correct (see the small photo I posted, not the main design comp above). With the sep funnel handle horizontal, the hole would be as well. Although it has been around 8 years since I set foot in an organic chemistry lab, and I'll admit I'm a little rusty.

Perhaps there are brands where the handle and hole are on a different axis?

Hopefully it will be an EC but there are a lot of great shirts to choose from. Woot seems to like weirdness like this so maybe there's a chance!

Omelets made great am i rooting for this one. It's such a cool looking design and I love the expression on the whale's face. The composition is really nice too.

Thanks chennai8... I'd like to do more experimenting with styles like this in the future... but it can take a while - this one was quite a process... so it's harder to get ready in derby-time. But I will make a point to try similar styles when a design seems to fit and I have the time... thanks!

You know, that's not a bad idea at all. I've been thinking of submitting a few designs, and went over the unofficial rules page, but wasn't aware of this particular rule myself until now.

Oh hell this ones out the fog. I always had hope for it since it was in there but now its like "gahhhhhhhh"

My New Year's Resolution was to buy NO T-SHIRTS in 2010. This one might break it.

While I think that "A Book" should be eliminated, still like it enough to pull the trigger.

Everyone (well, maybe not everyone) keeps saying that the shirt would be better without "a book", but the composition of the shirt would be shot without it. Just a square box with no depth. The words are a major design element and it wouldn't have the same impact without it. Just my opinion, of course.

You're absolutely right! My thought process followed the same artistic logic when designing this.
