Re: Every Legend has a begining...

This shirt is hands down amazing.

This derby has some of the best entries I've saw in weeks.

And this one definitely sets the bar high. GMV

If this doesn't top 3, I've lost faith in the shirt.woot community.

Reawen wrote:Started reading this with the "avacado, mashed," then followed the arrow to find him in the picture. And saw that the avacado is about to 'mash' the tomato. Then I thought it would be funny if they wre trying to do to each other what the recipe called for. So, for example, the tomato was trying to mash the avacado while he tried to chop the tomato.
I still think that would be funny, but as I thought about it more, I realized you'd end up with a lot of knives which sort of wrecks the whole spontaneous bar-fight scene.

Anyway, it's a fun shirt regardless ^_^

Seriously! I love how do you think! ;) great ideas! I think will be fun too!

Mahjongman wrote:Dude, no one has a monopoly on sliced bread jokes. This joke is a totally different joke, it just happens to be about the same cliche.

That's true, but that wasn't Jestik's point. Woot specifically avoids printing shirts that are similar to shirts they've already printed. Had that shirt been from another site, there'd be no issue, but since it was a shirt.woot shirt, it's called into question. Whether this is similar enough will be determined by the Rejectorator.

I don't know if that'll fly or not, but I actually would like it without a coke reference. Unless there's a strong coke connection that I'm missing, which could well be the case, the coke font seems strange to me in this design.

third time is a charm?
another screwup and once again I humbly ask for your revotes...
MR Brightside was fixed...I accidentally edited an old version :/

And again, these are all song references, in case you can't tell
The edit is the addition of "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Mr Roboto" (per excellent suggestion, thank you)

Thanks again for the support...I will remove one of the two in the morning depending on what's preferred.

I get a lot of my inspiration from the 70's and 80's Grindhouse era of films, so I was instantly motivated by the theme to pay homage to (in my opinion) the most kick ass time for the horror genre.

Some of you guys might remember 'The House of Madness" when I submitted it over at Designs By Humans some time ago.
I've reworked the illustration with diffrent colors, and added in the film effects to make it look like a special promotion item for the film. I think it looks ever better on cranberry this time around!

The motivation of this piece, as I mentioned over there, was the absolutely awesome artwork that was created for Grindhouse era film posters. I thought it would be cool to bring the House of Madness back for this contest, and coupled with the still in progress, but nearing completion thanks to Mr. CrescentDebris (we temporarily ran out of funds from the film studio) "Zombie Doom Squad" make the 2 designs a special "DRAK DOUBLE FEATURE."

I've had (and am still having, since Zombie Doom Squad is still in production) a boatload of fun with these designs, and I hope you guys, especially the genre fans get a kick out of them.

Thanks as always, and here's the poster:

It does pop on red, but for something wearable, I MUCH prefer it on the cranberry.
