Re: Consumed by music

Many of the famous musical composers were believed to mad.
With the pace they wrote, and size and power of their compositions, it is easy to believe.

Even today, madness and musical genius often seem to go hand in hand.

Alternate version here:

Re: Vampire Photo Booth

A moment of madness... captured for posterity!

This shirt is a reminder of the often forgotten weakeness of the classic Hollywood vampire; vanity. If the sun has gone down and you're all out of wooden stakes, garlic and holy water, Dracula's irresistable compulsion for photo booths might just save your life.

Here's a close-up detail of the photo strip. You will need to add your own sound effects:

(Note to Woot: The bat flames are a halftone effect.)

Zank you for vizitiiinnnggg!

Re: My best friend

People thought George was crazy. They saw him, day after day, walking through the park alone, guffawing and cutting up with.....no one. He talked about everything under the sun, from fishies, to beheaded people, to robots! And yet, no one knew just quite who he was talking to....

...but George knew his friend was there. Was he invisible? Yes. Could only George see his best friend? He supposed so, since most other people looked confused when they spotted George and his friend out together. But George didn't care. He had his friend, and that was all that mattered to him.

Now you have to ask yourself, is George mad for having an invisible friend, or are you mad for being able to see his shadow as well?

Re: Mood Swing-Bipolar depiction

I’m honestly not sure how I felt about the topic…I want to get as much derby practice as possible but I also wanted to do something tasteful and not try to make light of mental illness in anyway.

Anyway, I thought Bipolar as a disease and tried to conceptualize the actual disease and its effects. I used the literal image of a swing to enforce the swinging moods people afflicted with this disease suffer. The “high” (or manic mood) is depicted with the upswing as a happy, well-kept image of a chick….the “low” (or depressed) swing shows the same girl-worn, haggard and disheveled. It is my attempt to show the internal effects of the disease by morphing the outward appearance of the character. The tree is supposed to be a subliminal reinforcement of the perception change of the character in each extreme, on the up end a normal enough looking tree, on the low end more menacing and taunting, almost paranoia-inducing as depression can sometimes be.

Well…at least that’s what I was going for anyway…The talent may lack where the ambition tries to venture. Thanks for looking anyway =)
