This is perfect. I can't imagine a more fitting image of madness. Except maybe a picture of my inlaws.

I count 5 colors... Pink, yellow, green, black, blue.

Interesting design though.

darkfireradiant wrote:I do really like it, but maybe not as a shirt. I could see it more as a poster. I think you could take this and maybe twink it a little more t-shirty. Add some more contrast like someone said, make the designs pop out. Maybe take away some of the background noise. Maybe it could be used for more of a dream or imagination, madness doesn't really cover it. Still kudos for designing better than me.

I agree, I love the design, but it's something that would need to be printed much larger than shirt size to be effective.

AdderXYU wrote:This comment is untrue. There are THOUSANDS of anti-artist wooters. Hence this design being in the fog at all. It cannot be called artistic. It's the same damn thing as always.

Adder, you're a really pretty cool dude from where I'm lounging, but your pompous attitude and assertion that YOU define what is and isn't art has be old from the get-go. Let it go, whatever is drawn on a piece of paper is art, no matter how terrible it is, no matter who did it, no matter why they did it.

Art isn't a magical world of fantastical creativity and good intentions. It's just art, and to box its definition to fit only what you deem good is just as closed-minded as the opinions you counter every day on this forum.

Another thought on line work. An cheap alternative to a tablet is a nib pen. These are the type of pens you dip in ink and then draw with.

Pros:

Variable line width
Dark lines
Good old fashion pen on paper tactile feed back
Cheap (about $15 for nibs, ink, and a nib holder (pen body))

Cons:

Can be extremely messy
No undo button

I haven't played with mine in a couple of years but they are great. I have yet to find a set of pressure settings on my wacom graphire 3 that work well for me, and I hate how my hand sticks to the plastic surface after a while. With a nib I have better control of my line widths (you can see the width of the nib change as you apply more pressure), and since I'm working on an actual piece of paper I can rotate my work piece - can't do that with the tablet.

I really like green too. If you really like green and still prefer this one, that seems like it's a good color scheme! Thanks MuppetHero.

Re: Knife With A Scope

You need to fix 3 things on this or it will be rejected.
1 - No text is allowed this week, not even as a signature
2 - you need to put this on a Tshirt template. 4 are available from the page where you submit your entry.
3- You need to use a shirt color that woot has. Those colors are on the templates.

its six colors: black, skintone, blue, green, red, yellow. on a navy shirt.

i know its a late entry so i cant expect too much, but i do like the design and wanted to enter it anyway. its a bummer my best ideas always come near the end of the derby...

For some reason, this reminded me of Fargo. And then I realized it was a refernece to a Van gogh painting.

Silly me.

You see, my goal here, is simply a t-shirt collection to rival that of Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

Don't know who that is? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I thought I'd see a million Alice in Wonderland designs and get sick of them but this one is so great that I don't care. I agree with others that the way Alice is drawn is great.

The only thing that worries me is how it will print. AA shirts are a bit long and the few shirts I have with a vertical design like that end up getting lost in bottom folds/scrunches. I don't want Alice is disappear! But maybe I just have a short torso?

Getting it either way if it prints!

Go to my account and paste the info in the bottom dialog box. I'd suggest doing it in notepad first then pasting it. If you do multiple images don't put in any return breaks just a space or else it stacks them. Keep it up!

Thank you so much!
